A young maid walked in rushed steps, through well-lit corridors, preparing herself for the day ahead. The sun had yet to come up, but the night was getting less dark, which meant soon would be time for her lord to wake up and go by his day. She was headed to the kitchen to help prepare for his breakfast when she noticed an uproar coming from outside.

Reaching the entrance patio through the main door, she saw a set of clouded knights, under brown hoods, deposit a tall box in the middle of the square. She tried to question the men, but they left without a word, the knights of the family themselves quiet and watching them go.

Soon, there was a gathering of people around the box. The servants were unsure of what to do, but as the twilight came into the sky, the head maid ordered the knights to open the package. The young maid stood in front to get a better look. It was not every day that exciting things happened at her lord's manor.

However...

What she saw would haunt her miserable life. A body, more like a skeleton, with a thin layer of muscles, frozen, mutilated in an inhumane position. The ribcage was open as if something had ripped through it. The smell of decay filled the vicinity and the young maid, like the other onlookers, could not handle such a terrible sight and puked anything that was still in her stomach.

While this commotion happened, a yellow paper fell down from the body's hand. The calligraphy, clear and beautiful.

Warm greetings Lord Borbello,

From the Mountnero Family.

Hope you liked ACT II, but are ready for ACT III! It will start next week (I hope), but on Friday it will be a special chapter (like for ACT I).

Thank you all for joining me on this adventure! :)
