Chapter 53

"He is such a bore. From all the love confessions that he could have made he goes on and says this. Lame." Jimin's comment on your ear made the serious moment break and you burst out laughing, thing that left Jungkook looked at you rather confused.

"Ah, I am sorry. It's not funny, it's just-" You tried to collect yourself soon enough while cursing a bit at Jimin that was at fault for making you lose your seriousness and make the situation even more awkward. 

"I am serious about this, miss." Jungkook's gaze became stern on your as he found your reaction rather unpleasant and you cleared your throat a bit before letting him hear a piece of your mind.

"Good Sir, I am sure you realise the disadvantages that your request may bring for you yet considering the fact that you are still acting upon this absurd idea of yours, I will assume that you are in a tight spot. I do feel for you but I will kindly decline." You made a little bow before you actually walked away towards his bed and started pulling on the sheets that needed to be changed, leaving him dumbfounded behind and Jimin snickering lowly in your ear like a hyena that was enjoying the sight way too much.

"Did you just refused money?" Jungkook's voice sounded still in disbelief as he spoke to you and you monotonously gave him a positive reply for money was needed but definitely wasn't a reason that could make you do something you considered troublesome for you.

"Woah, okay...that...was something I didn't see coming." He admitted as he took a seat at a chair, rubbing the back of his neck, with a perplexed facial expression on and a mind that was at a loss for he had thought of everything but this scenario going down.

"What about I give you whatever amount you want? Does that sound okay?" He tried again and you turned around with his bedsheets in your embrace, which you shoved abruptly on the floor before walking over to him again.

"Are you really that desperate to get her away from you?" You straight-up asked him and Jungkook did not even take a breath before uttering a solemn and strong yes. His eyes that look at you, seemed determined to get that woman off his back no matter the consequences and that made you feel burdened for you couldn't help but empathise with him.

"Ah~ I will so regret this. Why do I even-" You argued with yourself as you turned around and went back doing small little stuff while Jungkook stood up from his seat with a flame of hope dancing in his orbs.

"I know you don't know me and as thus you have no reason to help me but I can promise you, I can give you as much money as you may need. Or buy you a house. Do you want a house? I can get you one. A car? Cars are nice. Want me to find you a better job? Just utter your request and considered it done."

"This guy is surely trying hard to bribe you. Little does he knows that she is a masochist and will end up helping him either way." Jimin started imitating the voice of a TV news announcer as he commented, making you want to punch him as much as you wanted to laugh, for he, unfortunately, had a point.

"I don't need any of those things. I will help you but I won't do it the way you are suggesting." You informed Jungkook and his face light up as if someone had just told him that he won the lottery.

"Oh my, I will be forever thankful, I swear, You are such a good person and I will- wait. In which way are you going to help? There's literally no other way. The only one that can restrict her is her father and he doesn't seem pressured no matter what I say. He is  the owner of the entertainment company I am assigned under you know so if I was to make it public maybe then he-"

"I understand but I assure you I can find another way to pressure him. Give me a week time and get me closer to him and I am sure that I will find something soon enough." You cut him off with confidence as if there was something you were certain about so far in life, that was that everyone had a weak point and held secrets that don't want others to know. His boss surely was not an exception and despite the fact that you couldn't truly reassure him that in a week you would have something in hand, you surely would get to know something you shouldn't sooner or later. It was the curse of your life after all. Whoever you are to get involved with you are bound to discover the things they try to hide the most.

"Really? How will you do that? You sound so confident but I am not sure if I..." Jungkook took a step back and looked you up and down, momentarily questioning your identity for you sure were speaking as someone that already knew that there existed something else to pressure his boss and you only had to find out what was that thing.

"If you aren't sure, we can just leave it. It's not me who needs help after all. You either trust me and get me access around your company and as thus your boss or you are on your own again." You shrugged your shoulders, pretending to be nonchalant of his decision despite the fact that it was in your benefit if he was to agree for then you would have access to his manager's life too and hopefully you would be able to find anything more on him and the people he gets involved, that could potentially end up being the one that is after Jimin's career.

"Oh my my, Y/n, you being foxy is suddenly making you attractive. Be careful with your cunning ways babe, I might slip and fall for you."Jimin's voice sounded rather playful in your ears, leaving you surprised by the way he called you briefly as you soon realised that he was trying to tease you, taking advantage of the fact that you could not respond to him.

This guy gets over-friendly and crosses lines at the speed of light.

You commented over him in your head since that was all you could do, however you didn't really felt bothered by it. On the contrary, the more comfortable Jimin seemed to be getting with you, the more comfortable you were getting with him too.

"Okay, Okay. I agree. I will give you access to him however you have to leave me a token of something so I would be able to trust you." Jungkook gave in and you felt a feeling of relief washing over you as you had just made one step closer to possibly settling two issues with one stone.

"I have no obligation to give you anything as this is your request and you are the one in need, however since I do understand that it can be difficult trusting a stranger, I am willing to leave you a copy of my ID. If I do anything improper in any way, you will be able to catch me in no time. Sounds reasonable enough?" You suggested and he took a moment before he nodded his head and took the phone of his pocket, extending it towards you.

"Leave me your contact. From this moment on we are accomplices. You can call me Jungkook btw." He gifted you a slight smile as you took his phone and proceeded to place down your phone number and save it under your name.

"Now if you don't mind. I have work to do." You told him as you gave him back the phone and he laughed a bit before getting out to the balcony, in order to give you the space and quietness that you needed.

"Just to make it clear, you are accomplices with me first so I better be your priority," Jimin whined in your ear and you couldn't help but smirk a bit at his behaviour.

"And what if you are equal?" You purposely replied, despite the fact that you knew that it wasn't so because helping Jimin was gonna bring you to an article that would get you the job of your life and Jin was also going to bring you knowledge about everything you were too scared to find out on your own regarding your father. Helping Jimin was definitely a priority and something that you won't run away from no matter what.

"Oh, someone is getting playful with me. Keep it up, I like it." Jimin replied and you smiled a bit despite the fact that you told him to shut up and let you work peacefully.

"By the way, I winked while saying that but you can't see it. Did that affect my flirting delivery? Be honest." He added and this time you couldn't help but start giggling, realizing that this night definitely was not going to be filled with plain working hours.
