Now, being a star known for being quite the flirt, romance, and other similar traits; Mettaton had quite the reputation when it came to love. To all that knew him, even those close, he was quite the loveable person; granted at times he did miss the mark, but ultimately meant no harm. Mettaton himself would rarely admit, however, that he was anything but flawless. Part of that came to romance, and specifically, the passion that went into the bedroom. Yes, in the beginning of his life, and career, he had heard the phrases and words. He knew what the act was called; but like any such act it did require practice. And that is where the issue appeared. For Mettaton, he wanted nothing more than to be prepared and be the best at whatever he did, but he also didn't wish to waste his first time on little more than a lack of experience. For Mettaton, despite how he could be sometimes, had high standards in regards to how he conducted himself. He didn't wish to waste a precious moment on anyone. If he was, it would be with someone he loved, and who he knew he would be with the rest of his life.

With that, Mettaton had always kept the subject of love making as an afterthought, rarely if ever considering it. Not to mention the obvious, his body; it wasn't exactly made for such 'activities'. And he already was worried about how he would find love, now he might have to worry about asking his dear friend, Dr. Alphys, some awkward questions and requests.

It took some time for him to come around, especially with you. He waited patiently until he felt it was right to bring it up with you, and this had been in (Months or Years) since your relationship began and he felt ready. Of course such a topic would leave either of you flushed, but Mettaton pushed through and got his words in. After some talking, and waiting, and you two finally would.

The first time was slow, or rather, the beginning was slow as Mettaton was careful with you. He was a robot after all, and he knew no one else who had love while also in a body like his own. So he made sure to take extra care, and besides, he wanted it to be as romantic as possible, so he remained confident and continued. For a first time(s) you two found yourselves lovingly embracing one another the next morning, satisfied. With that down, Mettaton, that relief washed over and soon it happened once more; though Mettaton continued to make sure to take good care each time. You were his love, and no matter what, he wouldn't hurt you.

As time went on, Mettaton found himself in an interesting position. As time went, he became curious and wanted to know what more he could do to make these moments between you two better. After another talk with his dear Friend Alphys, and her then Girlfriend Undyne (which made Mettaton feel quite embarrassed once she laughed) he eventually learned he might be a Dom as they were called. Of course he was anything but demanding, instead he was caring and gentle with you. At the sametime, the idea of being in some level of control was also quite appealing to him. Overall, he was a soft Dominate. Preferring to take the lead and start, but took great care and was soft.

Now if you were submissive, Mettaton would be willing to explore more, but he would have his limits. You two take the time to talk things out, and understand before bringing your desires to practice. He was more demanding, but never went far as to physically harm or touch you. Name calling, though not often, did occur as well as demands, though he was always sure to ask if you wanted it like this. A safe word was always on the table.

If you wanted to try new things, he was willing, but only if you were 100% percent sure you wanted to as well.

Now if you were more dominant, things would take an interesting turn. If you were also soft, then Mettaton didn't mind being the bottom. After all, he was quite the thrill watching you take command over him as he was either helpless or listening to your orders. Though he was always ready to call his safe word, you took care also and made sure he was willing.

All and all, Mettaton was a switch, one which preferred being romantic mostly; but not afraid of taking a dominant role.
