Rick left with Daryl, Glenn, and t dog. I didn't want to go, not that he would let me anyways. I was now knee deep in the water, my hair covering my shoulders and a little of my face as I stare at the water in front of me.

I didn't want to be here at first, but then when Shane said we were going to catch some frogs I couldn't help but feel excited.

My mom and I used to take dips in the pond a little bit always from our house, and occasionally would catch some fish or frogs with our hands.

I look around myself, turning every now and then incase I spot something, anything. But nothing and it was boring.

"I'm not getting anything." Carl says in a bored tone, i nod my head agreeing with him.

"Me either." I sigh as I look up at Shane with bored eyes.

"Yeah. Being all Wily, staying submerged. Little suckers,  they know somethings  up. Just going to do this the old fashion way." Shane says, getting up and swimming towards where I am standing in the water, half of my shirt now soaked but I didn't care.

I loved the feeling of the water soaking me, wrapping around me as if it was protecting me.

"All right, little man, look you are the - you are the key to all this, okay? All I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go after one of them, all right? They're all gonna scatter.I'm gonna drive em your way." Shane says before they both start to talk each other up.

"You, little lady, are gonna stand right over there in case it tries to get away. All right. Your the door in all this. Yeah?" Shane says, turning to me as he points to the edge of where him and Carl are, I nod and walk over there.

We all exchange smiles , and I'll be losing if I said my smile was fake, because it wasn't. I was actually enjoying this.

It was quite, my eyes were scanning the water as it moves in small waves. Suddenly Shane crashes into the water with the bucket, withering around. I couldn't help but laugh along with Carl.

"All right, little man, they're going your way. Little lady don't let them escape, you hear me. Catch them frogs. Catch them frogs." Shane says, splashing his arms towards me and Carl.

I bend my knees so I'm more into the water, looking every where around me.

Shane stops as Carl brings up his net thing, I look up with big hope full eyes, my breathing coming out in clumps as I'm already tired.

"Dirt." Carl says, a hint of disappointment in his voice, my smile turns into a soft frown. I sigh as I bow my head, looking at my feet that were shoes less in the water.

"Oh boy, all right, we've got to start over. Come on, let's find this bucket.

Something dark green catches my eyes, it's comes out blurry as it swims to the middle of my legs, stopping between them.

"Little lady, you all right?" I hear Shane say, my eyes widen as I still have my head down. I slowly bend more down, holding a finger up towards the two before I slowly bring it down and I couldn't help but feel the excitement come back into my body.

I couldn't wait anymore and dived right into the water, not caring what happens as i grab the green thing before it could slip from my fingers.

A pair of big arms wrap around me and I'm brought back to the surface. I try to wiggle out as I tighten my grip on the green thing, my wet hair covering my vision.

"Girl-"

"I think I got one! Look, did I get one?!" I couldn't help but feel so much hope and excitement at the same time, wow.

I'm placed down on the rock under water , I shake the hair out of my face and look up at Shane's grinning lips then at a shocked Carl.

That's when I feel a slimy thing in my hands, a little noise coming from it.

I whip my head down and I laugh erupts from my throat, Shane and Carl joking in a little after.

"ATA girl!" I hear Shane say before picking me up and swinging me in the hair, Carl walking towards us with his hands reaching up.

"I'm gonna drop it, stop!" I yell down at Shane, he chuckles before putting me down, Carl is about to rip it from my hands,

"Hey." I say, swatting his hands away, I hear him smack his lips together in annoyance and Shane chuckle

"Come on little lady, why don't you let him hold it for a couple of seconds and you can have it to yourself for the rest of infinity. Yeah?" Bane says, raising a brow teasingly

I nod and give it to Carl, who looked down at it with the biggest smile I've ever seen on his lips yet.

"Okay, it's been a couple of seconds." I say after a while and grab it from carls shaky hands, bring it to my chest.

Shane and Carl take a seat on a rock close to the shore, I couldn't get enough of the water and so did the frog so I set my back against a rock, , my legs still in the water as I sway the frog in my hands.

I hear faint footsteps coming down the hill and look up, my lips twitch downwards when I see who it was.

"Hey carl. What did I tell you about not leaving dales sight?" Lori questions, her eyes looking at carl and carl only. It was like she was avoiding Shane for a reason, but why?

I couldn't help but want to find out again.

"But Shane said we could catch frogs, remember?" Carl says, noting his hands to me and Shane who were besides him.

I look down at the quite frog in my hands and soften my hold on it. I realized that I was holding onto it like my life depended on it.

"It doesn't matter what Shane says. It matters what I say. Go on back to camp.I'll be right behind you." Lori say, carl gets up from the rock and walks out defeated.

I don't think Lori has noticed me yet, as I was leaning against the rock a little behind her.

Shane stands up with a sigh, he gives me a small smile and I see Lori look over her shoulders at me with a hint of surprise. Surprise that she didn't hear me.

I can be real quite when I need to be.

"Why don't you go and follow carl up to the camp?" Shane says to me, I sigh before walking around Lori and passing Shane as I make my way towards carl.

When I make it to camp I am immediately jumped on with Sofia's wide eyes, Eliza's pointing fingers, and carls greedy hands.

"You know they're gonna want to cook it up for latter , right?" Sofia says, my stomach twisted with disgust as I take a breath in and out.

"I won't let them." I say, walking past them with a soft smile and telling them that I'll be right back. I look around incase any eyes were catching the green thing in my hands. But no one seemed to care of my presence.

I shake my head, unzipping the tents zipper with a little struggle before going in and taking one of Glenn's shoe boxes and grabbing the knife that I put under my pillow before I went with Shane and Carl to the water.

I set the frog down on my makes bed, "stay there. Don't move , okay?" I say, I hear a little croaking sound come from as if understood me and gave it a little pat on its head.

I brought Glenn's shoe box on my lap and started to poke tiny holes so it could breath. It also to ensure it won't escape. Only if I lifted the lid of the shoe box it will.

I set the box and my knife down and gently grab the frog, letting it get comfortable in the box before setting it in the Corner of the tent where it won't be noticeable to Glenn when he comes back.

If he comes back, a little whispered says in my head. I shake my head as I decide to change out of my wet cloth into more comfortable cloths. That aren't soaked in water.

I changed my pants to some dark green  shorts that Sofia gave me , and exchange my clinging shirt to a black long sleeve. I know it was hot but I didn't care.
