Requested by _ImASimp05_: Tom has twin daughters from his first relationship, and one day, he meets Y/N, and they instantly fall in love. After a year together, Tom introduces Y/N to his daughters, but they absolutely hate her for no reason. They're mean to her, want them to break up, and start to distance themselves from their dad. On the day that Tom plans to propose, Y/N instead ends the relationship because she doesn't want his children to hate him because of a marriage that they don't support. After months of Tom and Y/N being apart, his daughters see how much he misses her and so they talk to Y/N, and try to get them back together.
I walked around the small supermarket, my eyes scanning over the shelves in search of products that I needed as I rested the basket in the crook of my bent arm.
"Ah, I need that." I mumbled to myself as I came across the cereal aisle, and saw the box of cereal that I always got. The issue was that it was on one of the top shelves, one that I couldn't reach. I sighed and looked up and down the aisle in search of an employee who could help me, but soon found that I was alone.
"Fuck." I muttered as I looked back up at the cereal. There was only one option, and it was for me to try and grab it regardless of my height disadvantage. I reached my arm up and stepped up on my toes, my teeth gritting as I was still a good few inches away from being able to reach even the bottom of the box.
"Come on, come on." I groaned in annoyance.
"Here, let me help you out." Before I knew what was happening, a man's hand passed mine and gently took the box for me. But in doing that, his fingers gently brushed mine, making my eyes widen and my breath hitch as as soon as our skin touched, electricity shot violently through me. But it was the best type, it was the type that told me that I had just met the love of my life. The man lifted the box down, my gaze following his hand so that it would lead me to the stranger's face. As I looked at him, I realised that he was clearly equally as enthralled with me as I was with him. His stunning chocolate eyes wavered as they landed on me, the man having the most beautiful smile as unruly and yet gorgeous hazel eyes flopped slightly over his eyes. Everything in me suddenly felt weightless, my mind telling me that this was it as we just gazed at each other. That this was the man who I had been born to marry.
"Here, um, here's your cereal." He chuckled somewhat nervously as he took a step forward and gently put the box into my basket.
"Right, yeah, thank you, um, thanks for your help, I'm too short for me to have reached it." I smiled, making him return it and nod as we continued to just gaze lovingly at each other. It didn't feel like I had literally just met this guy, it felt like I had known him for my whole life, and I absolutely loved that.
"I-shit, I'm sorry if this seems weird, or too abrupt, but could I ask for your phone number, please? I just, um...I have this feeling that I don't want this to be the only time that I bump into you." He admitted. I couldn't help but smile and bite my lip, my heart almost bursting out of my chest with butterflies at his words.
"I feel the same. So, yeah. You can have my number." I nodded. His eyes seemingly lit up, only making me feel more weightless and on cloud nine as he reached his hand into his pocket. He took out his phone and handed it to me, my fingers entering my number in with my name after moments before I handed it back to him. He bit his lip and looked down at the screen.
"Y/N. That's a nice name, I like it. I'm Tom." He smiled.
"Nice to meet you, Tom. Hopefully, our paths will cross again soon." I nodded.
