erling was holding your hand all the way back to your house. his thumb caressing the back of your hand, calming the butterflies that were fluttering around in your tummy, the excitement from the incredible date that you had still pulsing through your veins.

the two of you were walking in comfortable silence, the odd thing being said if one of you saw something on the street that caught your attention.

the streets were dimly lit by the streetlights overhead, you couldn't see the stars in the sky because of the thick clouds, most likely filled with rain.

"i had an amazing time tonight," you said, as the two of you arrived at the front door of your house. you looked up into his eyes, a huge smile on your face.

erling didn't have any time to respond before thunder clapped overhead. the both of you looked up at the same time, and it was only a few seconds until the rain was pouring down.

neither of you went to move out of the rain, you just looked at each other and burst out laughing. "i had an amazing time tonight, as well," he said through a laugh.

you both stopped laughing after a little while, and just stared into each other's eyes. erling slowly leaned down, as you slowly got on your tiptoes to get closer to him. you met each other in the middle, your lips moving in sync with each other, the rain that was hammering around beside the both of you, not bothering you in the slightest.

when you pulled apart, your breaths were heavy. that was the first kiss that you had shared, and you were quickly leaning up for more, thinking that you may never be able to get enough of him.

"shall we go inside?" you say against his lips. "we're both soaking wet, and need to get dry. you can also stay the night if you feel comfortable, i don't want you walking home in the rain and catching a cold."

"okay" he nodded, leaning down to press another kiss against your lips before following you inside.
