it was whenever he walked into a room. instead of just saying a simple greeting you would make a big show of it, taking the fact that his name was in the titles of one of the most popular songs ever written very seriously, as if it was your job to make your boyfriend's life miserable.
it started out as you just saying "hey jude" to him, with a smirk on your face, whenever he came within greeting distance of you. it then quickly turned into you singing the two words whenever you saw him.
at first he would laugh, as it wasn't the first time that he was teased about his name with the song. but over time, he would say it annoyed him every time you did it, and tell you to stop. however, he secretly loved it. you had always done it, and it felt strange when you didn't, because he had gotten so used to you saying it over the time that you had been together.
he would also love it when you would start singing the full song whenever he had had a good game or scored a goal. it showed your support for him, and for that he was forever grateful.
