"what do you mean you've never been camping," erling looked at you in shock, eyes wide. erling had brought you to norway for the short break he had from work, and you were enjoying the time that you were spending with him at his family home.

"i don't know, we were just never a family that ever went camping. plus, i don't think i'd be that into it to be honest, you know, sleeping on the ground and all that," you make a slightly disgusted face at the thought of being outside in the middle of the night.

you could see erling pondering for a little bit. "well, we have a tent."

your brows furrowed, tilting your head to the side. "yeah, and? what's that got to do with anything?"

"there's going to be a full moon tonight, and the stars are always so clear here, so i was wondering if you maybe wanted to camp outside in the garden tonight. that way you won't be scared, and there'll be a comfy bed nearby if you need it, but you'll be able to get the full camping experience."

you nodded, a smile on your face. "yeah, let's do it!"

"i think that one's orion, do you think that one's orion?" you and erling were lying on a blanket just outside the tent, wrapped up in your warmest clothes while you both looked at the stars. you had always wanted to stargaze and find the constellations, so after bringing up a photo of them on your phone, you got to work trying to figure out which ones were which.

"i don't know," erling said, glancing at the photo on your phone screen. "it looks a bit like a squirrel to me."

"a squirrel?" you let out a laugh, turning onto your side and pushing yourself up onto your elbow so you could get a better look at him.

"yeah, see," he grabbed your free hand in his, pointing it to where he was looking in the sky. "that's its body, and that's its tail. a squirrel."

"i don't think there's any squirrels in the stars, erling."

"well, there is now, and i think we should give him a name, he deserves a name."

you giggled, placing your head on his chest, as you snuggled up to him for warmth. maybe camping wasn't so bad after all.
