11:22 a.m. He's fine...this will be fine...he's doing this because Hyunjin deserves alone time with his mom... But, fuck he was scared. He jumped as he did his hair.
Incoming call: Jeekies ❣
His trembling hands grasped the phone, "Hello?" "Minho hyung what are you thinking?" Minho blinked, "Um...he wanted to see me...it's just lunch..." He heard a sigh, "Min...you no obligation to see him...he hurt you." Minho bit his lip, "I know. I'll be okay though baby." "Please be safe...and call-" "Channie, you or Hyunjin I know I know...I love you, darling." "I love you more baby...Merry Christmas I'll see you tonight." Minho hummed, "Tonight?" "Uh yeah, it's been too long without you already, I need my Christmas smooch." Minho huffed a laugh, God he loved him so much... "Right, of course, silly me." Jisung hummed, "Bye baby" "Bye Sung" He smiled and fluffed his hair...he hopes he looks close to his standards...
Hyunjin pouted and crossed his arms, "I want an every thirty-minute text." Minho chuckled and nodded, "And you back here at least by dinner..." "Yes father." Hyunjin gasped as Minho snorted, "Not funny hyung!" Minho hummed, June waved him off and he walked down the snowy driveway and waited. His yellow Mercedes zoomed down the road and halted in front of him. He took a quick breath and rounded the car, slipping in and shivering at the temperature change. Stiffening instantly, "Son." Minho cleared his throat, "Hello father...Merry Christmas..." His father hummed and sped off. Minho clutched the little bag that held a new watch and a coin; since his father likes to collect them. The low Christmas songs playing through the radio was a much different vibe than what was in the car... "So that's where you're living now?" "Yes sir." He bit his lip harder, "Still going to school?" "Of course." "Good." Another round of silence rolled by... "How are you though?" Minho blinked, "Oh...Um well..." His father clicked his tongue and nodded. "How are you?" "Well, work has been going better in the next town over." Minho took a breath, "That's wonderful, I'm happy for you."
They made it to the far to fancy restaurant and walked in, all the way to a private room. Minho gulped and clutched his phone, he sent a blue heart to Hyunjin and pocketed it. They sat down and Minho cleared his throat, looking away from his fathers...disinterested face. They ordered, he ordered a chicken salad, and his father ordered pasta. "I brought you something..." Minho handed the small bag, and his father actually looked shocked while taking it, "Thank you..." his father said quietly, Minho hummed and rocked in his chair. He stared at the coin for some time and nodded. "I'm sorry I don't have anything right now." "It's okay I don't need anything..." Minho quickly said with a small smile. His father cleared his throat and went to say something but their food was dropped off. His father poured himself wine and then poured Minho some. "It's a holiday right?" Minho nodded and looked down. "Minho... I want to keep our relationship...civil." Minho nodded, "Keep it like this. Holidays perhaps." "Okay... that's fine." His father hummed. They ate in silence...Refilling their drinks, his father looked up again, "You still with that boy?" Minho faltered, but held strong, "Yes I am." Ignoring his small scoff. "That's surprising." Minho suppressed a snappy answer and nodded. The rest of the meal went fine. Light conversation, mainly sips of the scarily expensive wine and then they headed out. He sped and dropped him off, "Bye Dad..." "Goodbye." Minho made haste in going inside. His father didn't do anything per say, maybe three times he watched his hand twitch when Minho said something he didn't like...it was still scary. He locked the door behind him and realized he was breathing too fast. "Hyungie...You're alright, you're home now." Hyunjin lingered behind him, Minho sniffled and turned to hug Hyunjin, smothering himself in the other's fluffy sweater. "I've got ya bub." "It wasn't that bad..." Minho sniffled into his sweater and moved his head to say. Hyunjin patted his head and back, "He didn't hurt you?" "No" Hyunjin sighed, "Good...Did he say something that upset you?" Hyunjin asked and slowly walked them to the couch. "Yeah...Wasn't anything new though..." Hyunjin hummed and sat down, Minho turning and laying on him, Hyunjin giggled, "You're like a clingy kitten..." Minho grumbled but didn't move back. "My moms finishing up cooking, and Sungs on his way." Minho perked up, making Hyunjin scoff, "Yes he's like 5 minutes away." Minho nodded and went back to hugging him. After a beat, he took a deep breath and got up, "Does she need help?" Hyunjin pouted, "Probably, she kicked me out because I almost burnt the vegetables." Minho chuckled and walked to the kitchen. "Need help?" June looked over and smiled, "Sure, can you stir the meat?" Minho nodded, and they finished up putting everything on plates and bowls, he was pouring the stirfry on a plate when arms wrapped around him, "Hi." "Hi Sungie."
