The call...

I woke up in the morning next to Maya. Today's the day. I'm going to take her out and ask her to be mine. I'm so nervous. I woke up extra early this morning. It's 7:00. I got out of bed and put a shirt on. I walked into the kitchen and fixed me a cup of coffee. I heard a noise come from Mariah's room. I walked to the door and knocked very quietly on it. Instead of telling me to come in she came up to the door. She opened it and I saw that she had been crying. "Mariah?" I asked. "Please come here." She said. I nodded my head and walked into her room. She patted a spot next to her telling me to sit. She came closer and climbed into my lap. She put her head on my chest. "Baby what's wrong?" I asked her. "I-i need help."  "With what honey?"  "I'm breaking apart. I'm a mom. I'm eleven years old. I finally found my family and my happiness. But then I get a phone call saying that I'm needed with another family and I just need you to help me. Please I need you to love me enough to help me." She sobbed. "Oh baby girl please tell me how I can help you." I said holding her in my arms. "I need to call them." I've made my decision." She said. "W-what's your decision?" I asked. "I want to call them and I want to meet up for lunch." She said. "Okay. But you do realize that it's  early in the morning so they're probably not awake yet?"  "I know. I was thinking more around 11:00?" She asked. "That works."  "I'm hungry." She said. "Do you want to come with me to go and get some McDonald's for breakfast for everyone?" I asked her. "Yeah but I need to get dressed." "Okay." I said. I was about to get up but Mariah grabbed my arm. She pulled me back so that I was facing her. "Yes?" I asked. She just looked at me. She pulled me in and she hugged me. Her arms were around my ribcage. "Thank you. I don't know what I would ever do if I never had you." She said. "Oh baby girl I don't know what I would ever do if I never had you either." I said and kissed her head. She let go of me and went to her closet. I left to go and get dressed. I walked into me and Maya's room to get dressed very quietly. I got dressed and brushed my hair and teeth. I put my shoes on and grabbed my wallet and phone. I went to see if Mariah was dressed and so I knocked in her door. She opened it and I saw her standing there. "Do I look okay?" She asked. "You always look gorgeous." I said. She smiled at me. I returned it. "Thanks." She blushed. I just smiled. "Ready to go?" I asked her. "Yup." She said. With that we left and shut the door quietly. We walked to my car and got in. I opened the door for her and she hopped in. I closed the door and ran over to my side. I got in and started the car. We drove to McDonald's and I couldn't help but keep looking at her and seeing that she only kept looking out the window. She had her legs up to her chest and her hands across her chest. "Is there something wrong?" I asked her. "No. Just hungry." She said. She was clearly lying. And I knew exactly what it was. I just want to make my sister feel comfortable. We got to McDonald's a few minutes later and got ready to order. "What do you want to eat?" I asked her. "I want a biscuit and so will Marcus." She said. "Do you want hash browns with it?" I asked. "We both will." She said. I nodded. Then the lady spoke. "Hello welcome to McDonald's how may I help you?' She said. "Hi I want four Mc Buiscuits with hash browns." I said. "Okay will that be all?" "Yes ma'am."  "Okay that will be 7:49" she said. "Okay thank you."  "Your welcome. Second window." She said. I drove up to the first window and paid the money then I drive to the second window and got the food. Me and Mariah then drove to the drug store because Mariah said that she needed to get something. I have no idea what it is. We got to Walgreens and we hopped out. "What is it that you need?" I asked her. "I need to get some shampoo." She said. "Okay." I said. We walked to the hair section. "Hey I'm going to go and get something." I said. "Okay." She said. I nodded and walked off. I went to go and get some toothpaste. When I came back I saw that Mariah had her shampoo and she was looking at a box of blue hair color. "What is that?" I asked her. "It's just hair color." She said. "It's a very pretty color." I said. "You like it?!" She asked me shocked. "Yes I love it." She smiled at me. "Do you want to color your hair?" I asked her. "Yes! Please can I?" She asked so excitedly. "Of course." I said. She hugged me and kissed me on the cheek. We walked up to the counter and paid for our things and then we left. We got in the car and drive home. When we got there we quietly walked in the house and I put the food on the table. And Mariah put the Walgreens bag on the counter. I got the food out and put it on the table. I fixed me and Maya some coffee. I was on my second cup. And Mariah and Marcus some orange juice. Me and Mariah went to wake up Maya. I opened the door and me and Mariah walked in quietly. I looked at Mariah and told her to get up in the bed. I got in after her and Mariah was in the middle. I stroked her hair. I told Mariah to cuddle next to her. Mariah cuddled next to her and Maya smiled and hugged her. She turned over and looked at me. "Good morning lovely." I said. "Good morning." She said. "How did you sleep?" I asked. "Good. How did you sleep?" "I slept great." I said. "Well why are you and Mariah dressed?"  " We got something for you." Mariah said. "Oh yeah? And what would that be?" Maya asked her. "You'll have to come and see." I said. She smiled and got out of bed and we all walked into the kitchen. "Awe guys this is so sweet." She gushed. She hugged me and Mariah and kissed us both on the cheek. "Well if we're going to eat I would like to do this as a family." She said. "You want to go and get Marcus?" I asked her. She nodded her head. Mariah opened his door and walked in first. Me and Maya want to see how she does this every morning before we met her. She walked to his white little crib. She stroked his head gently. "Marcus. Wake up baby. Come on honey. Me and bubba got some yummy breakfast." She said. She picked him up gently and put his head on her shoulder. He woke up and just laid there in Mariah's shoulder. "Hi baby." She said. She kissed his head and hugged him. She walked back into the kitchen and put him in his highchair. I looked at Maya. She looked at me. "Man how did I get so lucky?" I said under my breath. Maya kissed me gently and put her forehead on mine. "I had no idea. But I do know that I got really lucky too." She said. We smiled and let go of each other. We walked back into the kitchen to find Mariah handing Marcus his sippy cup of orange juice. We all sat down. "Who's turn is it to pray?" Mariah asked. "I think it's sawyers." Maya said. I smiled. We all bowed out heads. We all grabbed hands. "Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the food that has been provided for us and this beautiful day that you have given us again for another day to shine and show our love for you. Thank you for my family and the love that I'm allowed to share with my family. In your name we pray amen." I said. "Amen." We all said. We let go of our hands and started to eat. It was really good. My coffee was great. It was 8:00 o'clock now and we were all finished. I threw everything away and we got dressed. Well Maya and Marcus. Mariah got Marcus dressed. She took her hair color into her room and put it in her bathroom. I walked into me and Maya's room. "Hey." I said. She was doing her hair. "Hi." "Can I ask you something?" I asked her. "Um sure?" "How do you feel about going on a date with me tonight?" I asked her. She smiled really big and just looked down. "I would love to sawyer." She said. "Awesome. Just can you be ready by 6:00?" I asked her. "I'll be ready." "Good. Thank you." I said. "Thank you sawyer." She said and kissed my cheek. I walked out to let her get ready. I walked into Mariah's room. "Hey." She said. "Hi." She was doing her hair too. She was curling it. "What's up." She asked me. "So I asked Maya on the date and she said yes." "That's awesome!!" She said and hugged me. I hugged her back. "So I was wondering is it's okay if I take you and Marcus to my parents place around 3:00?" "Yeah that's cool." She said. "Thank you." "Welcome." She said. I walked out and went to see Marcus in his room playing in his play pin. I picked him up and walked back into me and Maya's room. We both laid on the bed and watched Maya do her hair. She looked beautiful. Her hair is straight and her bangs are pinned back. Marcus was cuddled up with his little white lamb that I bought him. Mariah has a pink one. "So who's going to keep the kids?" Maya asked me. "My parents." "You called them?" "Yes." "Okay." She came in and she has on ripped skinny jeans and a white t-shirt that says "NERD". She looks cute. Her brown hair is beautifully an perfectly straight. She doesn't have any make up on. Absolutely beautiful. "Whatcha starin at?" She asked me. I blushed. "You look absolutely beautiful Maya." I said. "Awe thanks. And you look great to." "I don't look any different." "You always look great to me though." She said. "And you too me." I said. She walked over to me and say on the bed. She kissed Marcus head. "I love you buddy." He lifted his little hand up and touched Maya's nose. She giggled. I was holding Maya's hand just admiring her beauty. Mariah then walked in. She looked lovely as well. Her brown hair was beautifully curled. Her blue eyes were especially sparkly today. No make up. We didn't buy her any. She has on some jeans and a red tank top that says "LOVE". And she looks fantastic. Marcus is really cute too. He has on some little jeans and a shirt that says "I LOVE MY MOMMY". His brown hair is combed down. And his blue eyes are very dark. "You know what I just noticed?" I asked. "What?" Maya asked. "I'm the only one who's not wearing a shirt that says something." We all laughed. "So I guess that your the black sheep today huh?" Mariah said. "Haha. I guess so." I said. We all left the room and went into the living room. Maya turned on the tv and put on Disney channel for the kids. "Girl meets world" was on. It's Mariah's favorite. Me and Maya walked into the kitchen. "So me and Mariah went to Walgreens this morning." I said to her. "To get what?" She asked me. "I needed toothpaste and Mariah needed shampoo." "Okay?" "And Mariah saw this box of blue hair color. And she loves it so I bought it." "Oh okay. She'll be so cute." She said. "So I was wondering if maybe you don't mind coloring her hair this morning?" I asked. "Of course not." She said. "Thanks." She smiled at me. We walked into the living room. "Hey Mariah would you like for Maya to color your hair now?" I asked her. "Yes!" She said. Her and Maya went into her room to get started. Me and Marcus were in the living room just hanging out.
