Me- She hasn't been talking to me.

Sonya- It's been a week now.

Me- I know.

Sonya- You can't play the finals with this type of stress.

Me-*Sighs* I know.

Sonya- Would she consider coming to the game tonight?

Me- She doesn't want to at all. Mom when I say she's not herself, she's not herself since the incident......... I don't want to leave her alone when she's like this.....

Sonya- Alright sweetie. I'll come over and watch over her.

Me- You will?

Sonya- Yea.. And bring Riley with you to the game. Dell will be there.

Me- Alright. Riley needs to get out of the house. She questions what's wrong with mommy and I just keep telling her everything is fine. She knows it's not but she doesn't press it.

Sonya- Yea.

Me- Thanks a lot mom.

Sonya- You're welcome baby. I love you.

It's been a week since that incident. Tia hasn't been the same.

I looked out the window at Tia sitting on the balcony. I walked out the door.

Me- Hey...

She just kept looking out into the city. I sat beside her.

Me-Tia?...

Tia-.....

Me- *Clears throat* Mom is coming over to watch you while Riley and I are at the game...... Are you sure you don't want to come?

Tia- ....I don't need nobody watching over me...

Her voice was so serious and stiff. She never faced me though.

Me- I'm not comfortable leaving you alone like this.

She slowly turned her head. I saw a tear stain on her cheek.

Tia- .. I don't need nobody watching over me..

Me- Alright...

I got up and walked into the house to get ready for the game. I walked into Riley's room.

Me- Come on baby girl. Time to get ready for the game.

Riley- Is mommy coming?

Me- Not this time baby girl.

I put Riley in the bathtub.

Riley- Is mommy ok daddy?

Me- Yea...she's just going thru a lot. That's all.

Riley- Will she ever be the same?

I got Riley dressed and packed my bag and we waited for my mom.
