She wasn't getting any sleep that night.

(f/n) had been tossing and turning and trying to sleep since she and her boyfriend had went to sleep hours before. She kept pushing his arms away from her only to cuddle up into them again a few minutes later. She'd taken all of the blankets and sheets off of her body, and then proceeded to cover up again once goosebumps started growing on her skin.

An almost silent groan escaped her lips - she didn't want to wake up her very beautiful, very much asleep boyfriend - and she glanced over at the clock.

2:37 am.

She couldn't fight the loud groan that left her lips then, but the man didn't stir at all beside her. 'Stupid boyfriend and his stupid ability to fall asleep whenever and stay asleep through whatever, how rude.' Her thoughts continued on like that until the clock read 2:41, and she decided that if she were to be awake right now, he should have to be awake to.

She rolled over, almost on top of him, and his arms immediately wrapped around her and brought her closer to him. It was like a second nature; he didn't wake up at all, but he felt her there and pulled her closer like he would when he was totally concious. That's what three years of living together does to a couple, (f/n) figured, and she almost didn't wake him up when she saw how damn peaceful he looked, his eyelashes brushing his freckled cheeks.

"Tadashi," she whispered agaisnt his cheek, placing a soft kiss there afterwards. She knew she'd have to be a little louder to get him up, but she couldn't find it in her to speak any louder. She opted for waking him up how she usually would; kisses.

She put her nose against his cheek and shook her head, letting her nose tickle his face, his expression scrunching up slightly at the feeling. She then proceeded to press soft, feather like kisses all over his face; starting at his left cheek, then up to his forehead, and down to his other cheek. The tickling of her hair on his face and the sensation of the light kisses on his cheeks and nose was in the end what woke him up, his eyes opening up to find the room surprisingly still dark.

"(f/n)," he said in a very tired, rough tone. "It doesn't feel like seven."

His girlfriend giggled at the sentence, and moved so she could look into his eyes. "I'm sorry, Tadashi, but I can't sleep so I decided you could help me sleep."

Tadashi then began to move both of their bodies so they were both lying on their sides, and then he pulled her into the tightest, warmest embrace. "What do you want to do then, (f/n)?"

The girl thought about the question, unsure of what would help her sleep. "Hmm, how about we go and make some cookies?"

"You want to make cookies at almost three in the morning?" Tadashi asked, a smile on his face despite the feeling of drowsiness in his body, trying to persuade him into just hugging the girl until she slept.

"Well, we made a cake last time, so cookies will be good this time," she said, the smile on her face only a tad more bright than the one on her boyfriends.

"Okay, let's go," Tadashi said, giving (f/n) a kiss on the forehead before both of them sat up.

They didn't turn on the light of the room, or in the hallway, knowing there way around the little house like they knew the back of their own hands; it had been their home for three years, and they'd walked between their room and the kitchen in the dark more times than they'd care to admit.

When they got to the kitchen turning on the light was inevitable, so (f/n) covered her boyfriends eyes with her right hand and flicked the switch with her left, waiting a moment before uncovering his eyes. They'd adjusted quickly, and he moved to lean against the counter groggily while (f/n) retreived all of the ingredients for the cookies, setting them out on the counter beside Tadashi, the stupidly bright smile still on her face.

"How are you so alive at such an hour, (f/n)?"

The woman didn't answer until she made sure she had every ingredient out, and then she directed her gaze to her overly sleepy boyfriend.

"I really love baking with you, Tadashi," she said to him, which caused a blush to cover his cheeks. "Don't be flustered, Tadashi! Come on, let's start with this baking!"

Tadashi forced as much excitment into his body as he possibly could and stood up straight, not depending on the counter anymore, and he mixed the dry ingredients while she mixed the few wet ones. They both spilled quite a bit (Tadashi far more than (f/n) because he started falling asleep at some point, resulting in baking ingredients all over the counter, his shirt, and the floor.)

(f/n) only spilled when she told Tadashi that she could crack an egg perfectly into the bowl without watching. She kept her eyes locked on his the whole time, and the entire insides of the egg plopped onto the counter, and the laughter that ensued afterwards did a pretty decent job at waking Tadashi up.

In the end, after the cliche throwing of flour and kissing each other after getting chocolate on their noses, the cookies were in the oven, and the clock read 3:12. Tadashi had woken up quite a bit, but it was him sitting on the counter with his head resting back against the cupboards over head, and (f/n) standing in between his legs, eating a little bit of chocolate chip cookie dough. She eat it all throughout Tadashi's lecture on how bad it was for her, and even shoved a little into his mouth to get him to stop lecturing her.

By the time the cookies were out of the oven, (f/n) let the first yawn of the night escape her lips, which made Tadashi cheer. "We're gonna eat some cookies and then sleep," he told her, grabbing a warm cookie and dunking it into the milk in his cup.

(f/n) agreed, stiffling another yawn, and did the same, taking a bite of the cookie. They were gooey and still a little doughy, just how she preffered them. They'd each finished two cookies when (f/n) started thinking about how comfortable the kitchen table would be so she wouldn't have to walk back to her room. She had even started moving to lie on top of it when Tadashi laughed at her.

"Come on," he said, grabbing both of her hands to lead her back to their bedroom. He flicked off the light in the kitchen and walked slowly to their room, his hands holding hers as she walked behind him.

(f/n) couldn't fight off exhasution anymore and she flopped face first into the cushioned bed, Tadashi following in suit. "You gonna be able to sleep now?" he asked her quietly, moving to position himself beside her comfortably.

She moved her head so she could look at him and nodded. "Thanks for baking with me, Tadashi."

He couldn't even get out a 'you're welcome' before she was asleep, the sound of her snores filling the room. He forced his arms around her and covered both of them up before doing the same, falling into a peaceful sleep with her beside him.
