LEONORE AND I CHECKED OUT OF THE hotel the next morning and made our way outside toward a short middle-aged man holding up a paper with our names on it. We greeted the elder, politely bowing down before him.

"Annyeonghaseyo, welcome to Seoul," he said with a kind smile, his English a little heavy.

Seong Chan, the owner of the house we rented, also offered free pick-ups and drop-outs, which was convenient with all our baggage. He placed them in the truck while we climbed into the backseat.

Driving around the city, I was ecstatic to find a lot of Seoul's popular attractions within walking distance. Insadong was more traditional, its streets overflowing with handicrafts workshops. Locals were selling hanboks, pottery, antiques, and more Korea's finest art that would make great souvenirs.

It was the best location to soak up the traditional culture and enjoy the local life.

Chan took a turn in a peaceful neighborhood and pulled up the car in front of what would be our new home for the rest of the summer. It was a beautiful white condo, adorned with pretty flowers.

"Wow!" Leonore gasped in awe, quickly jumping out of the car with me in tow.

I stared at the house in awe, gushing, "This is amaazing~"

The middle-aged man guided us to the polished wooden door and gave us the password for the digital lock. Then he went back to grab our stuff, while we kicked off our shoes and placed them neatly against the wall.

"I hope you enjoy your stay," Seong Chan smiled at us, once he gave us all the info for the house and his number if needed.

"Kamsahamnida," we thanked him and waved goodbye.

"Oh my god, this space is so cute," I cooed as we looked around the rooms with eagerness.

It was both modern and stylish. All-white rooms with a touch of bright decorations were screaming boldness and simplicity. A more traditional scene was brought out with the Oriental plants, vinyl wooden floor, and carved panels.

Once I was done with the house tour, I decided to try that portable WiFi egg. I seriously had no idea such a thing existed until now.

Leonor and I dragged all our luggage up the stairs, deciding to unpack before some grocery shopping.

The loft was turned into a cute and cozy bedroom. It had a giant TV screen, a full-length closet, a large vintage mirror. The bamboo floor lamp in the corner gave a sweet touch of Asia, and the super king-sized bed looked so dreamy since the fluffy pillows reminded me of pink clouds.
