BREATHING OUT THROUGH DEEPLY MY NOSE, I tried to shake out some of my nerves. Jungkook told me we had a meeting at Big Hit, and my immediate response was throwing up. I had no idea of the way his company would react to the news, and that made me anxious as hell.
I dressed up in a black blazer with a bodycon top that matched, neon green pants, and the Louboutins that my fiancé gave me. A flashy but classy look oozing confidence I lacked now.
"I'm right here, by your side," Jungkook murmured into my ear, and I slowly nodded.
"Let's do this."
He opened the door to the boardroom, and my heart pounded at the sight of BigHit's staff. Two managers, the publicist, the promoting agent, and the boss. Bang Si-hyuk welcomed my fiancé with a warm hug, but I politely bowed since we didn't know each other like that.
But I was glad to see him here this time because he genuinely had the boys' best interests at heart.
"Jungkook-ssi and Makailee-ssi, thank you for joining ustoday," Bang PDnim smiled at us after we greeted everyone and took our seat.
And it all went downhill from here...
"Jungkook was under fire from all sides when your relationship leaked! But we took care of everything, so you two could stay together! Now, an unwanted pregnancy?" Ryu, my #1 hater, yelled at me with indignation. "You have to get rid of it!"
"Did you just seriously imply... that I get an abortion?"
"If you weren't so reckless, it would not come to this!"
Yup, she definitely had a stick so far up her ass that it made her lose all of her brain cells.
"You do realize that abortion is illegal in South Korea, right?" I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Like you don't think it'd be more of a scandal if that broke the news?"
"Well, that would be all your fault! For years, Big Hit has managed to keep BTS' image clean—"
"Because our boys have never been the type to cause trouble to begin with! But is this really how far you're willing to go just so they can maintain their 'perfect' appearance?" Manager Sejin questioned her in disbelief.
