THE NEXT MORNING, I WOKE UP TO 뱁새 blasting in the room and cursed whoever was disturbing my beauty sleep. I blindly patted the bed to grab my phone, but it was out of reach. I buried my head under the pillows and tried to ignore the loud ringing.
But I couldn't, too curious about who the caller was. So I found my phone on the floor beside my bed. Judging by the area code, it was a local call in South Korea from an unfamiliar number.
"Annyeonghaseyo," I answered sleepily and coughed a little to clear my gruff voice. "Who is this?"
"Good morning, sleepyhead... Don't you have my number saved on your phone??" Namjoon chuckled, and his U.S. English accent sounded much sexier over the phone. Damn, boy.
"Of course I do!" I exclaimed, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "What kinda friend do you take me for???"
"You're a bad liar," he tsked in amusement, laughing at me. "Do you have even any of our phone numbers?"
"Yeaaah~~" I retorted straight away, giggling sheepishly, "You know... my boyfriend's!"
It honestly never crossed my mind to ask for their numbers. But in my defense, I saw the boys almost every day and if anything, I would just talk to Jungkook. Still, something must be insanely wrong with me.
Namjoon scoffed playfully, "Now that I think of it, I did text about two weeks ago and you left me on read."
"What...? Oh. My. God. I really don't remember, but it wasn't on purpose. I'll save your number as 'King Joonie, The Greatest of All Time'," I gushed and turned on my speakerphone to do just that, making him laugh. "Done. So you must have a good reason to call me this early, right?"
"You do realize it's almost noon, right? And I guess you haven't been on any social media yet..."
"Not since last night. Why?"
"Please, don't freak out..."
"Okay...? About what...?!"
"Pictures of you and JK, from last night... They're all over Twitter," he admitted carefully, and on the inside, I was freaking out.
Like what the fuck???
A billion questions started spinning and racing in my head, 'Was I gonna live to see tomorrow with those sasaeng fans around?' to 'Would Jungkook hate me when he found out if he hadn't already?'
