“Fire, I'm not going to Miami. Period.” I growl.

“Please? I haven't seen you in months!” She pleads.

“I'm not really a social person anymore. Which means I won't deal well with groups of people, aka the squad.” I say.

Fire and I talked a bit longer, but I changed the conversation so we were talking about Ice, Delta and Vulcan.

I heard footsteps behind me, but I brush it off, knowing it was Matt probably coming for attention.

I squeak when he suddenly comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist.

“Kitty? You okay?” Fire asks, concerned.

“Yeah, Matt surprised me.” I laugh lightly.

“Ah, I see. Tell him to keep his hands above the waist.”

“I'll tell him when you tell Moose.”

“...Don't turn this around on me.”

I open my mouth to say something, but I'm cut off quickly by a lingering kiss on my neck.

Taking a quick breath, I try again, only to be interrupted by the same thing once more.

“Matt leave Kitty alone! Or at least wait until I'm off the phone!” Fire jokes, having heard me.

“I-I'm fine, he's no-t doing anything.” I stutter, trying to keep my composure.

“Yeah, okay.” She snorts.

Matt slowly kisses up my neck, moving to nip at my earlobe.

“Just get off the phone already.” He whispers, sending shivers down my spine.

“Do Fire, do yOU work tomorrow?” I try and ask, trying to keep my voice level.

“Yes. Do I need to hang up, though? I will.” She answers curtly, instead changing the subject.

As the kisses trail down my neck, to my shoulder, I gasp quietly, unsure of what to do.

“Uh- n-no.” I say.

“Too bad. Be safe, call me tomorrow.” Fire chuckles, before my phone starts beeping.

“Good.” Matt mutters, grabbing my phone from my hand before I could put it in my pocket.
