a nice walk on the beach quickly went south. la wasn't prepared for a rainstorm, but it got one.

as the rain poured, corbyn and i just walked to the nearest shop. we weren't in a hurry. we both liked the rain, to be honest. it wasn't cold, either.

once we did get to a shop, however, we realized just how many other people came to hide too. it was probably busy before, since it was a starbucks.

it wasn't overly crowded, thank god.

corbyn goes to find us a seat, and i wait in line to order us drinks and snacks.

when my turn to order came, i got us both our usual drinks and a muffin for the both of us.

i went to the table corbyn chose, which was in a quiet corner in the back.

"good thing we didn't park too far from here." i say, loud enough that only we could here.

"yeah, but the rain should let up soon. it wasn't that much in the first place." corbyn shrugs, looking out the window.

we chatted for a few minutes longer before my name was called, which meant our order was done.

i go retrieve it and bring it back.

we ate, throwing around conversations here and there.

it was still a good day, even if our plans changed drastically. and we were soaking wet.
