Chapter 58: Reunions

Malia's POV

It felt like just yesterday that I closed my eyes imagining seeing the boys again for Magcon. Today was the day. They wouldn't be getting in until the afternoon but I was so excited. The thing is they were all coming in on different flights because they lived all over the place. Carter was planning to pick up Shawn, Aaron, and Taylor from the airport. Jack and Jack were flying together, Nash, Hayes, and Matt were flying together, and then Aaron, Taylor, and Shawn were all flying separately, but they were getting in around 4:30pm while all the other guys were getting in closer to three o'clock.

I woke up at 6am and practically hopped out of bed I was so excited. It was like starships was playing in the background that was my mood right now. I opened up twitter to tweet out how excited I was.

@MaliaIDallas: TODAY IS THE DAY I GET TO SEE MY BEST FRIENDS!! I missed them so much

I rushed into my bathroom brushing my hair before putting it into a French braid. I put on some under eye cream to cover my dark circles before applying my usual eyeliner and mascara. I pulled on a pair of ripped denim shorts and a t-shirt that said Los Angeles on it.

I hopped down the stairs enthusiastically. Thankfully most of the guys' flights were coming around the same time, between 3-4:30pm.

"Cam let's go out for breakfast!" I suggested and he didn't protest. I grabbed my keys and we got into the car. I was thinking about getting my hair cut but I was nervous about saying goodbye to it. I pulled up to the IHOP and we both hopped out of the car. (Hahaha hopped like IHOP, okay stop it). We walked through the doors and were seated. I don't really like pancakes or waffles but I was just in that mood to eat some because today felt like a good day. The sun was shining and the air smelled of syrup. That was just the IHOP but I couldn't wait to see Matt and the guys. I ordered a waffle with strawberries and syrup and I ate all of it with no shame. I took a picture of though before it was demolished and posted it to my story. Today is going to be a good day J

We finished and I paid for breakfast this time before we left IHOP. It was only 8:39am now and I needed to occupy myself or else I will go crazy.

When we got back home I decided that I would record a song since I hadn't done that in a while and I was really energetic. I decided to do Flashlight from Pitch Perfect 2 (I know that in Malia's timeline it isn't out yet but we are going to pretend it is lol). I got my equipment all set up and my camera. I was planning on posting it to Youtube. I grabbed Cam's camera too so I could go in between angles. I had downloaded the instrumental track from Bethany Mota's cover of it because I liked the tempo. I listened and did a small little dance with the beat of the music before I started singing.
