"Baby, why are we here?" Y/n asks for the fifth time. "We don't need anything and this area is too expensive for us to afford."

The city lights glow brightly, bringing life to the dark autumn night. People buzz around them as they walk up and down the streets, but Sangwoo doesn't seem to pay them or their stares any mind. The two of them are in fancy getups, per Sangwoo's demand. When they're together normally, Sangwoo gets enough looks and stares from girls and boys alike. But with his gelled hair and his new sharp all black suit, no one seems to be able to keep their eyes off him. Hell, Y/n can't even imagine that she really managed to meet him, let alone end up as his girlfriend. "Just follow me," he coos with that million dollar smile of his.

"At least tell me why we're dressed like this," she whines. She's wearing a slim fitting black dress that has a large split for her leg. Although it's been three months since she was injured and maybe a month since she was able to walk normally, Sangwoo still prohibits her from wearing heels. So instead, she's wearing a pair of flats. Just like Sangwoo's mother's jewelry that she currently adorns, the dress and shoes were a surprise gift from Sangwoo. It's amazing how well he's able to guess her sizes.

Sangwoo sends yet another killer smile at the girl holding snugly onto his arm. "Isn't it fun to dress up sometimes?" They stop at a crosswalk, waiting their turn to cross the street. People slowly begin to stand around them, for the same reason. "And, you're beautiful." Sangwoo takes her chin into his hand, tilting her face up to his as he forces her to look into his eyes. "Sometimes I just want to brag to the world that you're mine." Y/n's heart skips several beats and she finds herself unable to respond.

Luckily for her, the people surrounding do it for her. A squeal cuts through the air, quickly followed by a loud whistle. Beyond embarrassed, Y/n moves to cover her face in her hands. But, Sangwoo is faster and catches her wrists. Before she can pull them back, he pecks her lips and pulls her even closer to his side. "The light's green. Let's go."

Trying her best to hide from the outside world, she buries her face in his side and hurriedly matches his pace as they cross the street.

"Sangwoo!" Y/n whisper-shouts as they step into the short line at the front desk of a grand restaurant. It has high arching ceilings and the waiting room alone has three dazzling chandeliers. The walls are elegantly painted a shade of white and long heavy curtains hang elegantly next to the large windows that look over Seoul. "We cannot afford this place!"

Sangwoo rolls his eyes. "Just shut up and stop worrying so much. Let me spoil you," he responds blandly, keeping his tone low enough for the large grey haired man in front of them not to hear.

Y/n finds herself squeezing lightly on his arms. "I don't think I- Sangwoo, I don't deserve this all this. I don't even deserve you. I'm more than happy with us spending the night at home watching Netflix. Thank you so much, but you don't have to do this."

Since Y/n was injured, Sangwoo made a good argument about having her come and live with him. Once Yoonbum died, there was nothing really stopping her. So she ended her lease on her crappy apartment and moved all her stuff to Sangwoo's place, which wasn't much. Ever since, they've been able to save more money, but it's still not enough to be able to eat at a place like this. It's not even enough to dream about it.

"Y/n, don't even give me that bullshit. Now keep your mouth shut, and be a good wife and just enjoy the night." The man in front of us moves aside and Sangwoo quickly takes his place, giving Y/n no time to argue back.

Standing on her toes, she leans over to listen to the conversation between the host and Sangwoo. She realizes that he must've made a reservation because they are immediately guided to an elegant table with a thick white table cloth covering it.

"Wow," Y/n breathes out. "This place is really beautiful." They are conveniently seated close to the stage while being off to the side, giving them a perfect view of whatever entertainment there may be while keeping them out of the constant gaze of other people.

"I knew you would like it," he states as he pulls out a chair. With slight delay, she realizes it's for her and quickly sits down on the soft cushion. With little effort, Sangwoo gently pushes her in and takes his own seat.

"I'm sorry I that I was overreacting so much earlier. And thank you for working so hard to make this night special. It means a lot to me." She finds his hand on the table and holds it softly, smiling as she intertwines their fingers. "I love you."
