Taylor suprises you with a puppy ✅

Your last pet Labrador dog named Rex passed away three years ago and you still miss him to this day. You had him since you where a kid until age 23. He was always by your side and you loved him very much.

You are 25 years old now and are kinda miss having a pet. Your girlfriend Taylor knows how much you love dogs even though she is a cat person and has three of them.

You like cats but prefer dogs better.

You and Taylor have had small arguments about which pet is better a cat or a dog multiple times playfully.

"Honey I'm going to the studio for a few hours today." Taylor said.

"Okay when are you leaving?" I ask.

"Around one." Taylor said.

"Okay. But want to watch an episode of Grays anatomy before you leave?" I ask and sat on the couch.

"Sure." Taylor said and sat back down.

Seven hours later and Taylor still hasn't returned from the studio. I called and texted her multiple times trying to figure out what is going on but I just get her voicemail or she doesn't reply to any of my texts.

Finally I hear the front door open,

"Taylor?!" I call out.

"Y/N??" Taylor asks.

I walk to the front door to see Taylor standing in the doorway but the door is blocking her and it looks like she is holding something.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Close your eyes." Taylor said.

"What?" I ask.

"Close your eyes." Taylor said.

I closed my eyes,

"Taylor. What is going on?" I ask and I hear shuffling and other movements.

"Okay. Open them." Taylor said and I opened my eyes.

I look down to see a big box,

"You didn't have to give me a gift. It isn't my birthday or Christmas." I said.

"Shut up and just look inside." Taylor said smiling.

I open the lid slightly and suddenly I hear a loud bark making me gasp.

"Oh my god!" I yell opening the box all the way to see a small Labrador chocolate puppy.

The small puppy is stumbling around in the box trying to stand up.

I bend down to pick up the puppy and the small dog begins to sniff me and lick my face.

"You got me a puppy!?" I yell in shock.

"Yes. After hearing how sad you miss your last dogs I decided to get you a new puppy." Taylor said.

"How?? And where did you find her?" I ask.

"I looked up the nearest place that has Labrador puppy's and I found out a shelter found an abandoned puppy litter so I went to go see what they had." Taylor said.

"Do you like her?" Taylor asks.

"I love her already!" I said petting her and the small puppy melts in my lap.

"We need to to get all of the stuff she needs. I decided to surprise you with her today so you can help me pick out what bed and dog food she would like." Taylor said.

"Let's go to the pet store now!" I yell excitedly.

Taylor and I went to the pet store and got all of the things she needs. Food, bed, collar, leash, puppy pads.

On the ride back home we decided on her name.

We decided on Lady.

I pet lady laying on my lap on the car ride home and she falls asleep.
