"Calm dow-"
"If you tell me to calm down, I will grab my fist and shove it down your throat and choke you to death. Lucas' birthday is in two hours and everything has to be perfect. OKAY? I'm nervous FUCK. Is it obvious that I'm nervous? Should we just not do this? I should just wait until tomorrow and give him the gift instead of going through all this. Yeah, let's do that."
Chaehyun tried to head towards the door but Kun jumped in front of it and blocked him from leaving. Chaehyun shook his body and let out a cry which also had a hint of a groan inside of it. As much as he loved Lucas, his anxiety was through the roof at the thought of completing this surprise.
The rest of NCT had spent two days helping him set up this surprise for Lucas' birthday and they couldn't have Chaehyun backing out now. He had this planned for weeks, he was not about to back out.
"You can do this. It's not like you're asking him to marry you yet, besides, Lucas is pretty much dazzled by you. You just have to smile and he's choking on his own saliva. He'll love this and he'll know how much effort you put in. Don't back out now."
Chaehyun stared into Jaehyun's eyes for several seconds before pulling away and lifting his nail up to his mouth.
"I'm going to fucking cry."
"Wouldn't make much of a difference, you're always crying," Taeil spoke up casually as he stepped into the room.
Chaehyun scowled for a split second before returning to his flustered state. "First of all, don't attack me like that. Secondly, what if he hates the whole thing and decides that he deserves better? Because let's be real, Lucas can do way better than me."
"Chaehyun." The nervous male turned around to see Jungwoo standing there. "Man the hell up and get out there. Sicheng said the boys are already on their way to the field with Lucas, so you need to go now."
And if Chaehyun wasn't panicking before he definitely was now. Letting out a few curses followed by a high pitched scream, Chaehyun covered his hands with his mouth and began jumping up and down on the spot.
"You're not a kangaroo. Stop jumping and go and finish your surprise. MARK ITS TIME!" Johnny screamed as Mark stumbled down the stairs, struggling to put his jacket on. He almost fell at one point but he doesn't wanna talk about that.
Chaehyun would've made fun of him but he was far too busy panicking about his surprise for Lucas' birthday. Johnny had to pretty much lift the guy over his shoulder and shoved him in the car before sliding into the drivers seat.
"I need to fucking poop I'm that nervous." Chaehyun burped loudly and covered his mouth. With his lips now covered, his next sentence came out muffled. "Sorry I'm nervous."
