꒰ The new additions ꒱

"Where are they?"

Chaehyun gave no time for anyone to answer as he pushed himself into the dorm, eyes filled with determination and hands out ready to grab.

Kun rolled his eyes and turned around. "Yeah, sure come on in." He closed the door with the shake of his head but Chaehyun was long gone.

Pushing himself past Ten, his eyes set on her. Bella, the dog. Where the cat was he had no idea, but Bella was curled up in Lucas' lap. His boyfriend grinned widely, thinking Chaehyun was excited to see him and held his arms out for a hug only to be rejected.

Chaehyun went straight in and gently took the dog from his lap, holding her like a baby. She seemed to warm up to Chaehyun really quick and nuzzled into his chest though she did keep sniffing his shirt which he guessed was because she could smell Eleven.

"Hey babe, nice to see you too. Yeah, I'm fine thanks for asking."

Chaehyun didn't pay any mind to his boyfriends sarcasm, far too engrossed with cuddling the dog. He didn't even notice that Hendery had entered the room with Louis, the cat.

"Hyung give Louis some love, he's sad."

Chaehyun was quick to gently place Bella back onto Lucas's lap and then took Louis from Hendery. The cat stared at him curiously. Chaehyun smiled down at him and rubbed his nose against his.

The others watched as their member bonded with their newest additions.

"Do you think Eleven will be happy about her siblings?" YangYang questioned from the floor.

Chaehyun hadn't even noticed him there.

"She's very friendly, likes making new friends so yeah I suppose so but she does get jealous easily, so it could go both ways."

The others nodded and Chaehyun turned his attention back to Louis as the cat rested his paw against his cheek. Chaehyun's eyes widened at the intense eye contact and couldn't resist quoting a tiktok.

"Are we about to kiss right now?..."

The others burst out laughing but Louis was ready to risk it all as he leaned up to Chaehyun's lips. The laughter stopped and was replaced with shocked silence as the cat gently licked Chaehyun's lips.

"Okay no-"

"Lucas shut the hell up, they're having a moment."

Lucas glared at Xiaojun before turning his glare towards his competition. Sicheng rubbed his shoulder soothingly, though he was struggling to hide his laughter at the clear jealous directed towards the cat.

"I think he likes you..."

"Every animal likes me."

"So humble," Kun muttered to himself.

They knew Chaehyun was really good with animals, he had proved that over the many years of knowing him which is why nobody was really too shocked about how well and gentle he was with them.

Chaehyun is a very loud person, but when it comes to animals he tends to be a lot calmer unless he knows they're comfortable in the environment.

"Eleven isn't going to be too happy when she smells them both all over you," Lucas bitterly pointed out as Chaehyun sat down.

"Ar-oh my god Lucas! Are you jealous?" Amusement clouded Chaehyun's eyes.

Suddenly feeling attacked, Lucas fidgeted in his place and averted his eyes down to the sleeping dog in his lap.

Chaehyun grinned fondly. "You love me."

"When did I say that?"

"You're in lovveeee lil old me."

Lucas rolled his head back with a groan at the teasing he was receiving from his boyfriend, who was still cuddling the goddamn cat.

"Fine and so what? You clearly love the animals more."

Chaehyun rolled his eyes playfully. "You should sign up for a K Drama you're very good with being dramatic. Should I record this moment right now and send it in to a casting director?"

Lucas mimicked a fake laugh before giving Chaehyun a blank face. His boyfriend only winked at him which lead to Lucas subtly grinning.

"Suddenly, I need to puke," Yangyang cut in and stood up, leaving the room to escape the playful argument.

Once everyone besides Lucas and Chaehyun has vacated the area, the younger male and sheepishly fiddled with Bella's coat.

"You don't actually love them more than me do you?"

Chaehyun sighed. "Lucas...we both know that I love animals more than anyone. But you come a close eighth."

Of course, Chaehyun was only teasing but that didn't stop Lucas from grabbing a pillow and launching it at him making sure to miss Louis, who didn't even flinch.

"I hate you."

Chaehyun smiled softly. "I love you more."

So I know social distancing exists but we're just gonna pretend the pandemic doesn't exist for this one chapter because I found it cute.
