'Brad and I...' I trail off. 'Brad's my -' I quickly look at Brad before looking back at my parents. 'Brad's my boyfriend' I finally spoke up. I looked towards Brad quickly who took my hand in his, gently squeezing it, sending me a quick smile before I looked back at my parents again.

I don't really know what the expression is on their face, it's quite empty. After a few moments, smiles grew on their faces. Ok, so are they happy? The smiles lasted a few minutes before dropping.

'What's up?' I ask them, furrowing my eyebrows.

'I don't understand why it took so long for you to tell us' my mum sighs.

I sigh before looking down, I don't know why it took so long either. Oh wait, I was scared, just like anyone would be.. 'So wait, you're not angry that we're dating, you're angry that I didn't tell you as soon as it happened?' I slowly lift my head back up.

'Both your dad and I thought there was something between you two and we're so happy for you, you seem to make a good couple and we just wish you'd of told us sooner' a smile reappears on mums face.

'Sorry I guess' I mumble, what else am I meant to say in this situation?

'Brad, you're a lovely boy and I have a feeling I know you'll treat Lucy well, if I'm honest, I'm glad she's chosen you, you're down to earth and you mean well' Mum looks towards Brad, 'Thank you for making my daughter happy' she smiles at him.

'It's my pleasure' Brad smiles back.

I'm so happy they're happy about it, it makes things so much easier. It'll make things so much easier if Brad comes over or when we make plans because we won't have to battle with them to agree to let me go.

Megan's POV

Tris has arranged for us to both go on a date tonight, I'm not sure where but he said not to dress up too much. I walked over to my wardrobe after showering and pulled out a blue drop hem dress that I bought from topshop. I pulled the dress on before slipping on a pair of my Chelsea boots, making sure I had socks on underneath, obviously. I dried my hair, curling it loosely, I then moved on to do my make-up. I left my make up looking natural before applying flicked eyeliner, making sure each eye was on point. I grabbed my Parka jacket before picking up my bag, making sure I had my phone before going downstairs. It's nearly time that Tris will be getting here, in fact any minute now he'll be here. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, this is our first date since actually being a couple.

As I said, a few minutes after sitting on the sofa, there was a knock at the door. I stood up and went to answer it, since Charl's arranged to stay at Lucy's tonight meaning there's noone else here. I opened the door to reveal a very handsome looking Tristan.

'Hey' I smile before he pulls me into a hug.

'Hello beautiful' He smiles into the hug, planting a kiss on my lips as we pulled apart. 'Are you ready to go?' He asks.

'I am' I smile. 'Just need to grab my bag and lock up' I do just that and we make our way to Tris's car. He walks me round to the passenger side, opening the door for me to get in, like a true gentleman.

'Thank you' I smile before getting in. He closes the door after me and walks back round, getting in the drivers side.

'Any ideas where we're going then?' Tris asks as he starts the engine.

'Nope, where are we going?' I return a question.

'It's a surprise' He smirks.

The rest of the car journey is silent, but not awkward. After a few minutes of driving we arrive at the date. I look out the window whilst taking my seat belt off, we're at a Park or somewhere similar. Before I can even open the door to get out, Tris is at the door, opening it for me.
