I woke up to someone tapping on my window. It was Mom.

"Aurora?" She yelled through the windows.

I sat up, looking at my phone. I had two missed calls. One from Holly and one from Evan.

I quickly texted them both back.

Call you back later.

I opened the car door and jumped out. It was dark and cold. Very cold.

"Come on. Dinner is done." Mom faintly smiled.

I followed her inside and she got me a bowl of soup. I sat at the table next to my brother Adam.

"So how was school?" Mom asked.

I shrugged. "Fine. I have two classes with Holly."

"That's nice," She took a bite of soup. "Adam?"

"It was boring." Adam replied.

I finished half of my soup and dumped the rest out. I took a long bath and put on the nicest pair of pajamas I own. I decided I'd call Evan first.

The phone rang once, then he answered. Like he had been waiting for me to call.

"Hello?" Evan asked.

"Evan?"

"Aurora?"

I chuckled. "Yes?"

"What are you doing tomorrow night?" He asked.

"Oh, I don't know." I replied.

"Do you want to go on," He gulped. "A date?"

"Okay." I smiled, even though he couldn't see me.

"Well I'll pick you up at 7 then."

"It's a date," I giggled. "What's the attire?"

"Um, just wear something nice. A dress. I don't know."

"You got it." I laughed.

He laughed. I couldn't get over it, his laugh was perfect.

"Okay, well, I'm going to go. Goodnight Evan." I said.

"Goodnight Aurora." He said and hung up.

I called Holly and told her the news - that Evan just asked me on a date.

"Are you serious?! Where are you guys going?" Holly seemed surprised.

"I don't know. He didn't tell me."

"Dude, I'm jealous." Holly said.

I chuckled. "Why?"

"Because," She paused. "Its Evan Peters."

"So?"

"He's hot!" She yelled.

I laughed. "I guess so."

"Do you like him? Y'know, like that?" Holly asked.

"I don't know. Maybe."

"You guys would be so cute together."

"You really think so?" I questioned her.

"Yes! Aurora, you're the nice girl, he's the bad boy. It's perfect! It's like a scene from one of those movies."

"Holly, I don't think I'm really one of the nice girls." I replied.

"Well you're not bad, but you're not like...goody goody? I don't know the words to explain."

"Yeah. Anyways, Evan seemed nervous when he asked me." I explained.

"Seriously?! Aurora, he totally likes you!"

"I don't really think so."

"Why else would he ask you on a date?" Holly asked.

"I don't know." I said.

"He likes you. I can ask him if you want me to."

"No, because he knows that you and I are friends and then he would probably assume that I wanted to know."

"I guess. Well, I'm off to bed. Goodnight!" Holly shouted.

"Goodnight."
