Two and a half years ago...

Jaemin, Mark (who was covered well for disguise purposes) and Donghyuck all sat together in the premier seats within a cinema. The darkness shrouding the room was only disturbed by the flashing images whizzing across the screen, the hue dancing over their faces and reflecting in their mesmerised eyes.

Occasionally, Jaemin stole glances from the brunette in the middle, his childish smile being a wonderful source of positive energy for the male at the best of times, and the worst of times. His silky, golden-ochre locks sat in fluffy tufts over his eyebrows, shining neon turquoise from the massive screen ahead. It had been somewhere around six months since the trio had agreed to give a relationship a go, and it had been one of the best decisions they'd ever made.

Donghyuck had obviously been exceedingly dubious about it for a while, and refused to sleep alone with Jaemin while constantly standing or sitting between him and his original boyfriend to create space. But that place in the middle was suddenly his spot, where his boys could cuddle him, love him, spoil him. Their adventures with sex had been interesting to say the least, and officially passable once Hyuck had willingly slipped into little space for Jaemin to see. Progress had been made, and surely more would come.

As the youngest of the group flicked his gaze from their second oldest and proceeded to look at Mark warmly, he felt his chest tighten due to raw emotion. The male was so brave, so resilient. He put so much on the line by satiating the younger pair's desire for 'normality' with dates and meals. As soon as one fan caught him, the whole day would be unravelled, and God, had that happened before.

Jaemin leaned in and annoyingly pressed his lips to Hyuck's as a teasing way of disturbing his film viewing. The older whined softly, turning into the kiss all the same, but not without smacking the other's chest. There was no question of dominance between them anymore - not when they'd worked it out over time. The taller's mouth simply claimed the smaller's too easily and almost sent him into a submissive mindset from scent alone.

He gently pulled away from the boy with a cunning smile before whispering; "I'm heading to the bathroom. Let Mark know so he doesn't get all concerned, okay Baby?"

The older hummed, needily reconnecting their lips once more just to taste the sugary fizzy drinks on his tongue and eat up the heat he loved so much. Jaemin pecked him twice to conclude their inappropriate public display of affection before standing up and quietly weaving his way out of the theatre and into the semi-empty hallways where a few people were wandering around, waiting for movies to begin.

His eyes were dilating when exposed to such harsh lights, leaving him somewhat blinded as he stumbled towards a bathroom. A flash of red crossed his vision and he reflexively extended his hands to prevent collision.

"Ah, oh God," the other person chimed at the feeling of a warm hand gripping their arm out of nowhere. "Sorry...."

Jaemin retracted his hands and rubbed his face tiredly. Dates were fun, he'd admit, but cinemas so weren't his thing. The current blonde got enough neon light toxicity at the Sapphire Dome. "No, it's my fault. Jesus, I think I'm legally blind..."

The stranger couldn't help but chuckle a little, cautiously placing their hands over the boy's eyes before gently sliding them away as if removing the bleariness with magic. "You didn't give yourself enough time to adjust. Try not to move and just intake your surroundings when changing settings."

The shorter eyed the now apparent male up and down carefully before nodding to himself with a sneaky smile. He was cute. The huge, red hoodie engulfing his torso made him look smaller, even though he was taller. "I'll remember that next time. But genuinely, I don't think my eyes have a lot of life left. I've abused them."

"How so?" The mint-haired figure enquired, the most adorable smile reaching his lips as he indulged in a weird conversation with a complete unknown. "Ah, wait! If you're about to say something dirty-"

"Lights," Jaemin giggled. "I live in the darkness." He shifted his gaze from the supposed teen's eyes to his lips by accident, hating how his insatiable love of many people always came and slapped him with deceitful thoughts at the wrong times. Damn it, he had two beautiful boyfriends waiting for him in that cinema. "But you're quite dazzling, aren't you?" Shit, I'm not a host right now!

"Where there is light, there are shadows," the taller murmured, blushing nonetheless at the flirtatious comment. "I'm sorry if I've dazzled you, Mister. Unfortunately I tend to steer people astray and leave them stranded."

"Well, what's your name?"

"Chenle. And," he glanced towards the bathroom entrance with a pout, "I should probably go..."

"Are you waiting for someone?" Jaemin pressed, totally unready to let this conversation end just yet. It would've seriously been like picking up gold, shrugging, and throwing it away again. "In there?"

"Um," Chenle hummed, unsure of how to answer as he nervously clutched his bag over his shoulder tighter. "No..."

"Then I interrupted you, didn't I?" The older sighed. "Sorry about that. I'm delaying you."

As the younger stared wistfully at his new acquaintance, then at the grotty door portraying a filthied sign of a male figure on it, an immaturely drawn dick to match by vandalists, he couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. He had so many mental struggles every time he was faced with public toilets, trying to decide to use the girls' or the boys'. As a woman, he felt like a creep entering the other gender's....yet as a man, he felt like he was prying upon those he was interested in. It was a dilemma.

"I'm actually just gonna' go," he muttered defeatedly before taking a step back to leave, "It was nice meeting you....?"

"Oh, Jaemin. Na Jaemin."

"Na Jaemin," the younger winked. "Always stop and let your eyes adjust, okay?"

The older panicked inside as he watched the boy start to walk away. "But-"

"And thank you," he waved. "For letting me dazzle you."

And with that....he was gone.

Just easily walking out of this complex and out of the brunette's life as easily as he had entered. It was all of a sudden like an odd and sinful dream, when he thought about it further. Surely Mark would've given him a biff over the head for flirting so shamelessly with another man. Donghyuck too....

Chenle....he continued to recall the name and repeat it over and over like a mantra so never to forget. Damn, he never even gave me his surname...
