Renjun walked a few steps behind his eccentric neighbours as they all regrouped again after an hour and a half of wandering around, occasionally finding each other, sometimes swapping partners and in general, acting stupid. His eyes lingered on each individually, making him blush and slap his cheeks to snap the hell out of it. Jaemin's teasing was getting to his head, and the small male was certain that that was what the cocky boy wanted.

As they broke away from the buzzing festivities of the passing market and flooded onto the Main Street, the sun was practically baking the pavements. People passed them by, occasionally stealing glances at the unlikely group of beautiful adults. At one point, Renjun was positive he spotted a phone pointed in someone's direction, perhaps Donghyuck or Jeno. A sort of strange shiver slid down along his spine to formulate a twisted feeling in his gut that they weren't safe. Maybe this was normal for them.

Chenle yawned before stretching her arms up and preening under the sun. Her eyes squinted against the harsh rays of light, but that wasn't what had the oldest Chinese concerned. There was another pedestrian male walking in the opposite direction towards them, sort of looking up now and then before returning to texting or whatever it was that could've been more important than watching where he was going.

Shit, he's gonna collide straight into Chenle, he thought, sighing dramatically before moving forward faster to walk directly behind the ravenette. The taller hadn't a clue what was happening as 'she' laughed animatedly at a crappy joke Mark made. He's.... Renjun narrowed his eyes, gasping when the stranger quite purposely looking down at his device and shouldered right into the younger, 'accidentally' grabbing ahold of Chenle's arms to straighten them both out.

The others all paused as well, eyes flicking to the interruption.

"Whoops," the person of average everything smiled condescendingly before holding up the phone, "Wasn't watching where I was going."

Chenle was definitely about say 'nah, it's fine' though was hastily interjected when Renjun (out of character) ripped the smarmy hand away from the 'female' and held it up. He didn't even say anything.....just....froze.

"What's your problem?" The stranger glowered, snapping his wrist back. Renjun wasn't even sure, of course, he just knew this guy was trying his luck with his neighbour.

"Um...."

"He's jumpy," Jisung reponded before the others even attempted to comprehend what was going on. His arm snaked around the Chinese boy's shoulder in a totally friendly manner and he gave a wink while he was at it. "Y'know how it is out here. Lots of weirdos around touching shit that's best left alone. Right, Junnie?"

I'll get him back later for the nickname, "Mhm. I was just reflexively protecting her...."

Mark couldn't help but chuckle behind his hand as he urged this whole moment to pass faster. He didn't want his iconic laughter to be caught around here, even when this ordeal was sort of amusing. "Let's go-"
