It was the day after the whole Hubert fiasco. I woke up and went searching for Rapunzel with Sunny following me. While I was wandering the castle, I turned a corner and ran into someone's chest. "I-I'm sorry!" I said and I looked up and saw Varian. He smiled down at me. "I'm not." I rolled my eyes smiling and kept walking. "And where do you think you're going Milady?" He asked grabbing my hand and pulling me back to him. "I wanted to talk to Rapunzel before we left. Hubert talked about something strange and she seems to have a knack for finding out information relatively quickly." He nodded and crouched down slightly in front of me. "Varian what are you doing?" I watched as he stared at me. "I'm gonna carry you. You had a rough night last night." I rolled my eyes. "Sapphires I got my head bashed in, not my knees." I said ruffling his hair and walking past him. He suddenly ran in front of me and threw me over his shoulder. I couldn't help but start laughing at the sudden change. "Sapphires! You can put me down!" "Not a chance milady. Let's go find you a princess!" I rested my hands on his lower back and watched Sunny followed us.

Varian continued to walk around the castle for a few minutes. "Sapphires?" "No I'm not putting you down." He said and I rolled my eyes. "Fine then can we at least change positions? I can feel all the blood rushing to my head." He stopped walking. "Promise you won't run?" "Promise." He set me back on the ground gently, and I hoped up on his back. He continued to carry me around the castle until we came to the garden.

Rapunzel had an easel in front of her and Pascal was changing my colors on the canvas. I watched as Sunny ran over to Rapunzel and started rubbing against her legs. "Rapunzel!" I shouted and waved. She smiled at Varian and I and waved back. Varian walked us over to her. Varian finally put me down and I saw Rapunzel practically exploding. "You both are so adorable!!!" I felt heat rise to my cheeks and I looked down. "O-oh (y/n) has been looking for you!" Varian said. "Oh! Yeah! I have!" I said shooting my head back up. Rapunzel smiled at me. "Well what can I do for you?" "The other night Hubert said that I was the reason that his entire village was burned to the ground." I said softly. I looked at her and I saw her eyes widen. "But!!! I don't even remember doing anything like that! I-I wouldn't do something like that." I said looking down again. "I-I don't want to hurt anyone, ever." I said while messing with my hands. I watched as Rapunzel held my hand and lifted my head up. "I know you would never hurt anyone on purpose, (y/n), but Xavier told us a story that resembled yours a lot from what you've told us. How about we go pay him a visit?" I could only nod.

Rapunzel led the way to Xaviers as Varian and I were behind her, and behind us was Pascal riding on Sunny's back. "V-Varian?" I asked squeezing his hand tighter. There was a moment of silence, but I felt his eyes on me. "What if I am what Hubert said I was? Wh-what if I burned down an entire village?! What i-if I hurt countless in-innocent people?!" Varian stopped us from walking and held onto my shoulders. I continued to look down and I felt tears build up in my eyes.

"(Y/n) please look at me." I slowly looked up at him. "We're going to figure everything out. If you didn't do it then you didn't do it. If you did, then we know you didn't mean for it to happen. But we'll get there when we get there okay? Right now I need you to know that I'm going to be here for you no matter what your past is. Okay?" I stared up at him and I felt a few tears fall down my cheeks that he wiped off carefully with his thumbs. I nodded and he pulled me into a tight hug kissing the top of my head. "Thank you." I whispered into his chest. He simply held me tighter.

We arrived at Xavier's. Rapunzel knocked on the door and explained the situation to him. He led us to his workshop and he laid out a large tapestry. I stared at the tapestry and there was a little girl covering it that looked strikingly similar to me. She had long (h/c) in pigtails with ribbons tying them at the end. She even had (e/c) eyes.

"Let me tell you the legend of the young witch and the lost city. This was a typically peaceful city before the rebels from the war took over. It became a dark, dreary, and miserable place. Demons took notice of this city. They planned to take over the city, but to do so they needed a vessel. They chose a little girl. The daughter of a witch to be exact.

Many demons tried to possess her body, but only one managed. This demon was unknown, but he was rumored to be close to, if not, Zhan Tiri. The demon possessed the body of the small child and went on a rampage, it is rumored that the demon didn't even have to give its own magic for she possessed her own magic much more powerful than anything anyone had ever seen before, even her mother.

After several weeks of trying to get the demon out of her daughter, the witch devised a plan. She offered a deal. She said that if the demon would leave her daughter she would give herself up to the demon.

The demon refused knowing fully well that the older witch didn't possess nearly as much power as her offspring. The witch was able to banish the demon from her daughters body giving her a protective charm to keep her safe from the demon. Furious with what the witch did, the demon sought out revenge.

He possessed a villager who turned the witch in. The witch and her daughter were taken into custody. He got into the mind of the villagers convincing them that both of them were more evil than anyone had ever seen. The next day the girls mother was burned at the stake. The village made the little girl watch. They soon would find out that what they did would have serious consequences.

Rage filled the young witch. A blood red mist covered every inch of her body. Everything she passed caught aflame. Anyone who tried to stop her was devoured by her raging flames. There were very few survivors and no one has seen this young witch ever since."

Xavier finished his story and I couldn't think straight. I just stared at the tapestry. "(Y/n)?" I heard Varian say. "I-I have to go." With that I took my wand from my bag and picked up Sunny. I waved my hand around my head starting to vanish. I watched as Varian tried to stop me but it was too late. I was already gone.
