Don't think I don't see you four people. I'm always watching...

Tubbo felt a hand clap on his shoulder, dried blood against the skin of his neck. There were so many bodies, so many dead...

"It's alright, your first day seeking man! Don't think too much about not tagging anyone. Most hiders are easy pickings, we can help if you want." The voice added. Tubbo turned around, looking at the absolute giant that towered over him.

"Names Dream, what about you short stuff?"

"Oh um I'm T-Tubbo. Nice to meet you sir." He scrambled, watching the other adjust his mask. It was white half face plastic, with dark wire smiley face. Blonde hair poked over the edges of the mask, and a like green hoodie covered the rest of it. The green mark on his face to signify seeker was outlined in black eyeliner, almost proud. Dream smirked at him, before waving someone over. They had a head of black hair, and a white bloodied t shirt and bandanna. The glint in the man's orange eyes was evil.

Tubbo just noticed that there was a braided string hanging out of both of their hair. It was a black strand, with small bronze colored discs woven in. He recognized them instantly, death tokens.

Those things are injected to either the arm or ankle of hiders... how many has this guy killed?

It was supposed to be significant for every hider, something to identify the body by. From the looks of it, Tubbo knew why the concept of mass graves was brought back.

Yet again, with this strategy the government kept the genetically superior safe and healthy. For a while Tubbo had doubted himself, next the the radiator of confidence known as Tommy Innit he was smaller.

Before Tubbo knew what was happening he dropped to his knees and vomited into the grass. Oh god Tommy was probably dead, one of those tokens could even be his...

"What's going on over here you muffins! Oh god what happened to the first year..."A high pitched main voice commented. Tubbo felt arms casually wrap around his chest and haul him to his feet. He caught his footing in seconds, muttering apologizes to the stranger that helped him out.

"Probably the stress of the first hunt. Hell it still makes me nervous every year." Sapnap added, elbowing Dream, "We should get going before the clean up crew comes."

Dream shook his head, "Wait wait wait I know it's a long shot but did you see him?"

Sapnap groaned, before flashing the one who grabbed Tubbo a smile, "No, I didn't find any of our targets.

They walked for a little bit, Bad hastily introducing himself before it clicked.

"Hey what did I say! You absolute muffins no one but first years are ever in these woods. Karl, George, and Skeppy are smart enough not to come here."

Tubbo felt his stomach churn at the thought of targeting someone specifically, "Where are we going?"

"Bad's house." Sapnap answered, earning a series of futile protests from the muffin man.

They walked in light conversation, a huge switch from the murders Tubbo had witnessed the past hours. Bad opened his garage door, but refused to go any further until they took of all blood soaked items. Lucky for Tubbo he was fairly clean, minus the bloodstain from Dream's drenched hand. The blonde took off his hoodie, and Sapnap took off his top layer shirt as well. Both matched in tight long sleeves black shirts, showing off the defined muscles in their arms.

Bad shoved Dream playfully, "Normally I would call dibs on first shower but I think if I let you sit with that I'd get raccoons."

Bad enlisted Sapnap into helping him find snacks, Tubbo watched the television with distant feelings. Dead faces with still distinguished features flashed on the screen, the authorities attempt to identify bodies through media.

The Innit twins never really grew up in a house like this, their parents had given them up at a young age. According to Tommy they were real bitches of people anyway, though Tubbo himself didn't remember enough to confirm. Their adoptive parents had been fine, though Tubbo hadn't seen them in months.

Adults, especially seekers with high kill counts could voluntarily join a match of professional hide and seek. If you survived, it payed well. Tubbo just assumed the adoptive couple didn't make it.

He winced, that just sounded cold. Well Tubbo was a seeker now wasn't he? This was his job now right?

Dream came out in a matching blue shorts and a tank top, flopping into a chair. His mask was gone, and Tubbo could see the chiseled features of his face. Jagged jawline, with bright blue eyes that reminded him of Tommy...

Tubbo must have let out an audible noise of distress, because Dream shot him a questioning look.

"What's up Tubbo?"

He wished he could have said it was a lie, but Tubbo didn't have to make the statement up to cover for the missing brother, "I'm scared of getting my first kill, and this is all a lot to be honest." Bad came out of the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn, Sapnap balanced cans of soda on his head like a jokester. The house owner set it down, before sitting next to Tubbo and pulling into a hug. It was strange act for someone who had mercilessly killed people hours ago, but in the absence of his old family Tubbo welcomed it.

"Don't worry we will help you. The first kill is always the hardest, Sapnap took forever to get his too..."

"Hey shut the fuck up!"

"LANGUAGE!"

Tubbo watched the conversation and unfold with a smile and play fighting, his thoughts drifting from Tommy.

Temporarily.
