I open my eyes and slowly and look down at the ground where i see a splatter of Jadens blood.
Shit. I walk towards the bathroom and grab a washcloth and wet it, i squeeze some soap on it then walk out of the bathroom.
I jump when i see Josh sitting on my bed, "Jesus christ, some warning would be nice."
"Jaden just stormed out of the house and now you're cleaning blood off the floor." He says as i lean down and start scrubbing the floor.
"It's a long story." I sigh as i stand up and toss the washcloth in the laundry bin.
He sits up and slowly walks over to me, "Shit lyd your neck." He says.
I turn towards my mirror and see huge purple and red bruises covering my neck.
"Oh it's nothing." I say quietly, "No that's not nothing." He says with a concerned tone.
I was saved by the sound of my phone ringing, I quickly picked it up and saw Coopers name flash across the screen.
"Hey Coop what's up?" I ask after i accept the call, "Also i'm really sorry about the other day i know that was really rough on you an-" I start to say.
"Lyd, it's fine it doesn't matter right now." He says.
"Uh Jaden just showed up at my house and he seems pretty upset." He says.
"Coop please take care of him, that's all i'm asking him, he really needs that right now." I say quietly.
"Did something happen? Well...something else?" He asks and i sigh, "It's a long story, just make sure he's ok."
I hear a crash from the phone and a loud scream, "Really contemplating asking what that was but i know i won't like the answer so i'm just gonna leave it." I sigh.
"Listen, i gotta go i'll call you later." He says and then pauses, "He'll be ok i promise." He says softly.
"Thank you." I say with a smile before hanging up.
I sigh as i set my phone down and look up at Josh, "Why is life so fucking complicated?" I sit down as i place my head in my palms.
"Look Lyd, i'm not sure exactly what's going on, but you're like a little sister to me, i'll always be here for you." He says calmly as he sits down next to me.
"I just fuck everything up though, no matter how hard i try something always goes wrong and someone always gets hurt." I sigh.
"You're not a fuck up Lydia, everyone does shit but we shouldn't live by it, i know you and i can tell that you're a good person who's just trying to do what's best for others." Josh says.
"Thanks pretzel dick." I say with a smile as i look at him.
"You're welcome blemish face." He says.
"Hey." I frown, "My skin has been clear for months." I say as i touch my face.
He laughs, "You should go out and do something to get your mind off of everything."
"Fine i'll go get Nessa and Charli." I sigh as i stand up and start walking towards my door.
"Or you could get Nessa and Charli, sure." He says.
I raise an eyebrow as i turn around, "Would you like to come Josh?" I ask.
"I mean if you insist." He shrugs as he stands up.
"You're such a dork." I laugh as i walk out of my room. ______________________________
