Next day (still in flashback)

Taehyung was sitting on the floor of the dance practice room, taking a break after practice. His gaze was fixated on Jimin as he watched the boy being all cheery and bubbly. Well, Jimin smiled everyday but today, it looked natural, not fake.

Taehyung couldn't help but smile too. Jimin was happy because he was finally going home tomorrow and he'll meet his mother. Taehyung was devastated the day he saw Jimin crying in the bathroom. He didn't know that the boy who consoled everyone in their greif was himself carrying so much pain behind his smiling face.

However, now that Jimin was happy, Taehyung was also happy for him. Soon, Jimin came near him before sitting beside him.

"Here!" Taehyung gave Jimin a water bottle after the bone breaking practice as Jimin drank it all in one go.

"Thank you" He said, showing his eye smile as Taehyung smiled back.

"Very happy, hmm?" Taehyung teased as Jimin giggled.

"Yeah! I am. I can't wait till tomorrow" Jimin replied as he squealed in happiness, and Tae couldn't help but giggle on his childish behavior.

"By the way, did you tell your father about it yet?" Taehyung asked, sternly.

"Nope. Actually, I was thinking to surprise them. What do you think?" Jimin asked him, telling him his small plan.

"Great! They'll be very happy" Taehyung replied.

"I know. And I can't wait-" before Jimin could complete, their dance choreographer interrupted them.

"Break over. Gather in middle all of you" The choreographer shouted. Taehyung and Jimin nodded before getting up to continue practicing. As they were dancing, Jimin's phone interrupted them. Jimin glanced at the dance choreographer who nodded, giving him permission to pick the call. He bowed to him before going to pick his call. Exiting the room, his smile wided when he saw his father was the caller.

"Pick it up!" Taehyung said as Jimin flinched before looking beside him as he noticed Taehyung standing there.

"Why are you here? Go to the practice room" Jimin scolded but Taehyung just ignored him. Deep down, he was actually too scared to leave Jimin alone again after he had seen him cry like that. Jimin sighed as he picked up the call. Taehyung just followed him like a puppy following his owner.

"Hello!?" Jimin said but got no reply.

"Hello dad?!" He asked again but then started panicking when he heard sobbings from the other side.

"Dad! what happened-"

"She's dead" His father finally replied. For a moment, Jimin felt numb. Who was his dad talking about? Jimin knew the answer but he didn't want to accept it. He couldn't.

"Dad what are you saying-"

"Your mother died waiting for you, Jimin. Don't call me dad. I don't want to be your dad. You are no more my son. You are dead for me" His father replied bluntly and without saying anything else, he disconnected the call.

For a second, Jimin felt the ground disappear under his feet. He didn't even realize that he was trembling until even his legs betrayed him just like his luck as he fell on his knees. Thankfully, atleast Tae was there for him who held his petite body before it could hit the cold floor.

"Jimin! what happened?" Taehyung asked as he gently shook the boy but that was of no use. Jimin wasn't even listening to him. He was thinking about his mother. All the memories that he spent with his mother automatically sneaked out of his eyes and rolled down his cheeks. His heart clenched on the thoughts of never being able to have the love of his mother again. Shutting his eyes close, he never wanted to open them again. He just wanted to fall asleep forever before he fall apart.
