"Good morning."

Was what Dixie texted the person laying beside her.

The phone on the end of the room buzzed and Noah rubbed his eyes to look at it. He smiled looked at Dixie and than back at his phone, prepared to text back.

"Good morning beautiful."

It read.

"I'm so happy today."

Dixies text read.

"Why is that my love?"

"Well I woke up next to my favorite person in the world for one."

Noah smiled at her, than looked down at his screen.

"And for two.."

"Well?"

"I'm not telling you. You have to guess."

She smiled at him and he frowned back.

"What why."

His text sounded urgent.

She was about to text "because" when Cali jumped on their bed in surprise. She always did that in the mornings.

Dixie cuddled next to the puppy and Noah kissing her soft fur.

"I love you." Noah said looking at the puppy but clearly talking to Dixie.

She turned her gaze to look at him, but his eyes stayed fixated on the puppy.

"I love you too." She giggled loving that he said it out of the blue.

"I'm sorry about.... You know how everything went down I- I didn't mean for— I'm sorry if- I didn't mean to hurt you in any way and I apologize if I did." He said still looking at the puppy.

"Noah look at me." She said smiling. He didn't move his head so she did it for him.

"You lost your best friend, you were hurt, you don't ever have to apologize for that.. do you hear me never."

"I know but- I shouldn't have lashed out at you."

"Your right it wasn't ideal but it happened and it's done. Let's just leave it in the past okay."

"Yea okay."

"Now I'm gonna make some breakfast."

"Um.. I'm sorry but how are you going to do that?" 

"What do you mean."

"Dixie I love you, but you can't even make
popcorn correctly... and that's in a bag."

"Fine I'll order pancakes" she sad laughing and turning the corner.
