“I put my armor on, show you how strong how I am”

Yet again I let Zayn’s charms work on me. This time, however, it felt different. This time he effortlessly captured a special place in my heart. Or perhaps I was drawn by his darkness. I was supposed to hate him for the thing he did to me but instead, I was feeling attracted towards him, emotionally. At some level, I felt connected. I felt as if he was pulling me closer to him without even trying. I have felt attracted towards him before but it was just physical attraction and it didn’t mean anything back then. But getting emotionally connected with him meant something that hit deeper than I thought, I would never connect with anyone. It felt like a miracle. Zayn had a powerful alluring force in him that kept pulling me towards him. When he’d come around, even casually, I began to feel the butterflies dancing in my stomach. When he’d leave, it feels like something is missing. He made my heart go haywire

My eyes shot wide open when a sudden unexpected realisation hit me, I was falling for a man to whom I was calling a monster a few days ago. Goosebumps raised on my entire body. I was elated. I didn’t care how he felt towards me because a part of me knew that he cared for me in his own twisted ways, there were also quite many possibilities of him reciprocating of my feelings. I meant in the sense that if he didn’t feel anything for me then why on earth would he take all those troubles for me?

Carefully stretching my legs and hand, I got out of the bed. I was ecstatic but I was missing my room, since I was injured they have been keeping me in some sort of operation room. I wasn’t allowed to leave the bed but this was an emergency; I had to leave the bed, to tell Levi and Ace about my feelings. I was uncertain about telling Ace, so, I decided to talk to Levi first. I was excited. I jumped letting out a squeal.

All of a sudden, all the lights in the room turned red, including the bathroom’s lights. Red signifies danger. Blood. All my excitement drained with the blink of an eye. The red lights were followed by the sound of an alert alarm. The alarm was loudly echoing in the entire mansion. This was not good. Zayn hasn’t returned from his meeting. I could hear my heart pumping irrationally against my chest. I jumped in fear when I heard the sounds of gunshots. They weren’t stopping, the gunshots. Men were screaming, in pain and anger as if they were beasts.

I heard a beep from my mobile phone; I glanced at the screen and saw a message from Ace telling me not to leave the room. I threw my phone on the bed and tightly covered my ears with my hands to stop the sounds of gunshots. A picture of Levi formed in front of my eyes. I gulped my fear and headed to the cupboard where my archery was kept. It was Ace’s idea that I should keep my archery set with me in the room. I wrapped five to six layers of bandages around my wound, putting my bulletproof suit on; I peeked outside of the room, in the hallway. I noticed the floor was covered with blood; dead bodies were lying on the floor. Everyone was busy killing each other. Body parts were being ripped off mercilessly. Abruptly, someone clasped their hand on my mouth, and they began to drag me.

“For the love of yourself, get in your damn room” Hunter snapped, pushing me in the room, he was covered with blood from head to toe.

“Where is Levi?” I mouthed my thoughts.

“He –” as Hunter began to reply, he was cut off by a stranger who held a gun in his hand.

“There she is,” a man shouted, pointing his index finger at me “Get that bitch and that third in command” he ordered his fellow people. Three men came running to us and the one, who commanded them, was walking slowly as if he was the Hunter and we were his prey.
