12 Years Later

It was time for the princes to arrive back from their gurukul. Everyone was excited was the least to say. They were exhilarated to see how much the children of the Kuru clan had improved over the years.

But in the Rajya Sabha, Shakuni had convinced Maharaj to arrange a mock contest, before the subjects of the kingdom to test all of the prince's capabilities.

Maharani Gandhari and Rajmata Kunti were dying out of excitement and concern, waiting for their children. Being separated from your child was painful for them. Little did Kunti know, she was about to meet another one of her sons.

The two sisters, Rajkumari Indulekha and Rajkumari Dushala were also keen to meet their brothers. While Indu kept the excitement inside her, Dushala was bursting out with happiness.

Indu POV

*"Jiji, aap itni shant kese hai?" Dushala asked as she sat beside me. She was jumping up and down since the moment she found out that our brothers were coming back. *"Mein shant nahi hu, Dushala. Mein keval apna utsah bhitar rakh rahi hu." I answered, adoring the white rose in my hands. Though my palms were wrapped around the thorns, I didn't feel any pain. Its petals were arranged similarly to any other rose. But these were healthier and brighter than any other rose I had seen here. "Of course, jiji. But at this age, you shouldn't be calm and composed! Enjoy your life a bit! Take me as an example. I am so-"

As she was talking to me, or let's say lecturing me, I didn't pay attention to any word she said. Fed up, I stood up and said, "Dushala, It's almost time we go to the field. The people haven't entered yet, we have to be there before them. Remember?"

With that said, we both Rajkumaris along with our mothers and a handful of maids, enter the platform and sit.

Mata sits on Jyeseth Mata's right and we both, Dushala and me, sit on Jyesht Mata's left. It was time for the crowd of people to enter. As the empty seats filled with people, the serene music played. I flowed along with it and moved my feet to its rhythm, barely noticeable. The white rose was still in my hands. To say I was fond of it was the least, I was in love with it. And I definitely have to hide this from my brothers, or else Bharat Bheem and Bhrata Nakul will tease me, asking me to marry the rose. I can see it happening.

It was time for the princes to come. And Ashwatthama would launch an arrow at the spinning wheel, whoever's name would come would battle with the other Kuru Kumar whose name would be picked.

"I've heard Bhrata Nakul is the most handsome man in the whole Aryavarta." Dushala exclaimed as we all chuckled at her.

Though I remembered everything, it still felt different viewing it from my own eyes.
