"Nakul?" A soft voice called out to the man in front of him. He couldn't believe his eyes. His brother was here in front of him, after so long.

"Jyeshta?" The elder smiled hugging the younger one in his arms as Bheem and Indu approached from the back. Sahadev ran over to Indu and wrapped her in a hug while Bheem joined moments after.

Sunlight peeked in between the branches of the trees and light breeze played around the dewy grass. Indu felt content once she removed her footwear and sat down on the grass as she laughed at the antics of her brothers. It was Yudishthir's decision to meet in this forest, located in the outskirts of Hastinapur, whenever they wanted to, knowing that Duryodhan didn't have his spies here.

Indu smiled at Yudishthir as he sat down beside her, staring at the rustling leaves. The rest three ran around the trees, trying to catch each other. "They're still kids," He laughed, glancing at his sister who scoffed, playfully. "So am I!" Saying so, she ran towards them.

"Am I late?" Brihanala smiled as she walked upto the five.

"Yes, but I have to say I'm jealous of that waist" Indu rolled her eyes before squeezing her in a hug to which Brihanala slightly hesitated but gave in, anyways.

"So, why'd you call us here, Indu?" Sahadev asked, panting from the running they'd just done.

"Because Duryodhan is going to be arriving in Hastinapur soon." She rolled her eyes at the thought.

A grave look placed itself on the faces of every one of them. They knew that Duryodhan could recognise them easily. The uneasy looks kept growing and the six thought of what they could do to avoid greeting him.

"Wait, can you hear that?" Indu asked, looked back towards the city. The drum rolls from the city kept intensifying and chatter among people was so loud that it could be heard from this forest.

"SAMRAT DURYODHAN KI,"

"JAI!"

"SAMRAT DURYODHAN KI,"

"JAI!"

Noises of chanting erupted from the city as the siblings looked at each other in horror. Hearing that name again and again made her drown back in the ocean of self-disgust. The same feeling of humiliation, the same feeling of anger and the same feeling of hatred came rushing back to her. Bheem patted her back, giving her reassurance that they were there. But what would that prove? Indu knew, if they didn't protect her back then, why would they protect her now?

"The Samrat has an announcement to make. SILENCE."

"A man of appropriate age will be recruited from every house to be made a soldier in the army; stay in your houses. They will be sent to Indraprastha and be paid no salary. Our soldiers will come to escort the men in a while. Be prepared. And do not complain. A man is being taken for recruitment from all of our alliances."
