"Now that you've lost yourself, I am the new Samrat!" Duryodhan's laughter echoed in the sabha, even Indu could hear it. She realised, they hadn't listened to her advice. "Put your brothers on the bet."

The 5 brothers were trembling with fear, now. They'd lost almost everything. Only three brothers left. Indu, Kunti, and Gandhari were in the chambers above. Anything could happen now. Their eldest brother was now in shackles of his faults. He didn't understand anything he'd done, how it all happened. From the Samrat to a das, in a second.

"Which brother do you bet now, Yudishthir?"

A drop of tears left Kunti's eyes. She sat on the edge of the bed, immobile. "Mata, Jyestha lost himself as well as the kingdom." Kunti looked up at her and hugged her, no voice coming from her. "I don't understand how Mahamahim, Guru Drona, and others are quietly watching!" She raged. "Putri, before those fools force your brothers into betting you, leave."

"Where will I go, Mata?" Indu quivered.

"Matsya! Satyadev will provide you protection, he isn't bound to any promises made here. Please, go to him. Make sure when you go to Matsya, take the route avoiding Dwarka; there is a war going on over there."

She nodded. "I'm going down. I'll arrange the chariot and then come here to tell you to go down, alright? Wait for ten minutes, alright?"

"Putri," Indu turned around to look at Gandhari. "I never thought my sons could be this treacherous. God knows, what they have planned today. Please leave, as soon as possible. I won't be surprised if they try to hurt you, but I won't be able to forgive myself, dear."

While in the dyut sabha,

Laughter echoed through the halls. The five brothers gave up. The five of them were now Duryodhan's servants and there was nothing they could do about that.

"Do it." Shakuni whispered in his ears.

"I, now bet on Dushala. Go on, Yudishthir, bet on Maharani Indulekha." Duryodhan ordered, emphazing on 'Maharani' as if he was mocking her.

He sighed, burying his face in his palms. "I-I can't. I won't. Give me new dice. I won't play with those."

"And why should we listen to the words of a servant?" Shakuni mumbled.

He stood up and walked over to Gandharraj, snatching the dice. He encased them and crushed them in his hands. "New dice or, well, punish me. Go ahead, kill me." His dead-serious voice was rare, even the Pandavas had heard it once or twice. He glared at him as Dushasan was asked to bring new dice.

"Here," he tossed it on the table. "Now, play."

"Come on, Indu. The chariot is ready, I've sent two dasis and soldiers along with you. Go!" Kunti mumbled. Indu stood up and walked out of the room, saying her goodbyes. She walked down the stairs, fanning herself with the pallu of her sari. And she froze. In front of her was Dushsasan, most probably searching for her. his eyes kept a dry look and his face beared an unreadable expression.
