Indu POV

"Independence cannot be snatched, but a cloth can be."

"How dare you, Duryodhan?!"

Oh, I'm back here. The feeling of inhuman gazes all upon is back, again.

"You sure you can remove this heavy sari, when I can't do that myself?"

Why'd I even joke around? What was the point of trying to relieve my brothers of a tense mind?

It was gibberish, now. The noises of the elderly complaining to Duryodhan and asking him not to commit such a foolish crime mixed up when they reached my ears.

I felt a sudden catch in my breath as Duryodhan advanced towards me. My knees weakened, again, as I trembled in my place. I wanted to run, why didn't I run back then?

I tried to run.

And I couldn't.

Again.

Duryodhan's fingers touched the end of my sari and he pulled on it. The force made me turn around as he kept pulling.

Why aren't Bhrata Karn and Arya here, yet?

Why aren't they coming?

"Duryodhan, stop."

I heard myself speak to which he laughed.

"Please." I managed to speak again.

Why am I back in this wretched sabha? Why am helpless, again? Why do I have to experience it again? Didn't I suffer once, why again?

Why?

An audible gasp left my mouth as my eyes jerked open.

Oh.

It was the same dream as last night. And the night before. And all the nights after the sabha.

"Indu, are the nightmares back?" Bhrata Bheem mumbled, sitting upright to look at me across the room.

I had managed to hide my terror every night. But these days it kept getting more difficult as the nights were completely silent, upon Mata Gandhari's orders. Not one sound; so silent that you could hear a pin drop.

"No, I thought there was a rat near me." I managed to think of a lie quickly but it was obvious that Bhrata didn't believe it. He sighed saying, "It's almost sunrise, I'll wake up. You can go back to sleep."

And I knew he said it so that he could keep a watch on me to see whether I'd have nightmares or not.

"No, I think I'll wake up too." I stood with my body still quivering. He nodded as he woke up Bro Nakul and whispered something in his ear. Bro Nakul pushed him away as he tumbled over in sleep.
