In her eyes, I found a reflection of myself.

Day 1

The Naga Kingdom

Arjun sat in the middle of the room engrossed in meditation. His eyes closed and his hands rested on his knees as a bead of sweat crawled down his forehead. With a breath in and a breath out, he prayed to AgniDev for an AgniAstra. As this calm sunk into his mind, the surroundings around him were in chaos. Uloopi and Iravan were fighting Takshak, Ashvasena and the Nagas they had brought along. After Uloopi had granted these two the ability to breathe underwater, they were sure that once they stepped outside the shelter, it wouldn't be hard for them to defeat Takshak

Draupadi fanned her husband with her dupatta. Unaware of the light breezes he was receiving, he let a deep sigh out.

It had been only a few days since he'd started praying. The war was to start today and it had been driving Krishnaa anxious. Her brown eyes flickered over the fire outside before sitting down beside her husband. The frown on her forehead slowly disappeared as she invoked her father, thrown deep in thoughts.

"Pitashree, AgniDev, this time I need you the most. Please, grant us the luck to see your form for once."

A bright light shined, blinding the two whose eyes were already closed. The warmth grew and grew until it was comfortable. His presence was enlightening and charming making the couple bow down with their hands joined. And that very presence excluded an other-worldly sense of tranquillity.

"Tell me, my child. Why have you called me so urgently?" AgniDev smiled, blessing the couple who bowed down. The two stood up with tears in their eyes. They'd finally be able to save the Nagas, right?

"Pitashree, the situation here is alarming. An inextinguishable flame of yours is haunting the Naga Kingdom. We must protect the people here and their lives. We believe that using an AgniAstra on it must be the appropriate action." Draupadi said in one breath, overwhelmed to see him. His eyes fell downwards as his smile dropped. The two's breath hitched.

"A-are we wrong, AgniDev?" Arjun questioned as a frown grew deeper on his forehead.

"What have you called me here for, child? I must only answer that. Ask me one thing, and I shall answer to nothing else. I am prohibited to do so." He avoided the question, looking back up at the two. Draupadi and Arjun exchanged looks, unsure of what to do next. Would they ask if the action was appropriate or ask for the AgniAstra?

The two discussed for a while and AgniDev glanced outwards at his inextinguishable form lapsing outside.

"We ask for the AgniAstra, Pitashree. Please grant us this celestial weapon so that it can engulf the fire." Draupadi and Arjun joined their hands, again.
