10 Weeks later... 7:30 am April 7th
Kamala is in the kitchen having her breakfast, "Dougie, I want Kamryn out, I'm uncomfortable, my back hurts, I didn't sleep, I couldn't get comfortable"
Doug- "Honey, she will come out when she's ready to, I know you didn't, I was up with you, you're due in 4 days, we are going to your checkup in an hour,"
Kamala- "I know, I want her out now though, I can't get any bigger, I'm over tired, and I'm tired of being pregnant, I don't feel well, I want her out, I gotta pee again"
Kamala comes back a few minutes later
Doug puts his arm around Kamala, and tries to comfort her, "Honey, I know your uncomfortable, I'm trying to make you feel better"
Kamala- "I know, your trying and I love you, even though I may have snapped at you, I don't mean it"
Doug- "I know you don't mean it, I want you to feel better, I love you too, and I love you, can't wait to meet you Kamryn" Doug gives Kamala's belly a kiss. Kamryn kicks
Kamala- "I want to feel better"
Kamala's outfit she's wearing. Doug is wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans

Kamala and Doug are called back to go in the exam room.
Kaylee- "Hi, I need you to step on the scale, so we can see how much you weigh"
Kamala gets on the scale.
Kamala, Doug, Kaylee, go into the exam room.
Kaylee- "before you change into the gown, I need you to pee in a cup for me, you know where it is, when you get back, please put the gown on"
Kaylee leaves
Kamala- "okay, Dougie, I will be right back, I gotta pee anyway so this is good timing"
A few minutes Kamala comes back and puts the cup on the counter, "Dougie help me change into the gown, I feel like a beach ball with feet"
Doug- "let me help you change into the gown.
Doug helps Kamala change into her gown, and as soon she lays down on the exam table, she has a contraction.
Kamala- "Dougie, ow, ow, ow, ow, this hurts"
Doug- "another one"
Kamala- "yes, give me your hand, this hurts"
30 seconds later...
Kamala- "that one's over, it's been 2 hours since the last one"
Dr. Grey comes into the room
Dr. Grey- "Kamala how are you feeling, today, we are going to listen the heart beat of baby, I will measure your belly, are you having contractions yet?"
Kamala- "like a beach ball that is ready to pop, my back hurts, I have to pee every 2 minutes, yes, they aren't regular, I have a lot of pressure down there"
Dr. Grey- "let me put on some gloves then and see what's going on, I need you to lay down so I can see what's going on"
Doug helps Kamala lay down on the exam table
Dr Grey exams Kamala "you're 2 and a half centimeters dilated, are your contractions regular? Your belly is measuring 34 centimeters, and since your starting to dilate, I would say that with in 24-48 hours, Baby will be here, have you decided on a name, your weight is where it's supposed to be and you have gained 35 pounds, which is normal."
Kamala- "no, I had one while we were waiting for you to come in, it lasted 30 seconds, the last one I had was 3 hours ago, I'm cramping though like when I have my cycle, yes we decided on Kamryn Lynn, my lower back is really hurting though, and I gotta pee every 2 minutes it seems"
Doug- "does this mean that Kamala's in labor?"
Dr. Grey- "no, for her to be in labor she has to have regular contractions, and her water needs to break which it hasn't yet, she's due in 4 days, and 1st babies could be late, or early, or born on their due date we won't let Kamala go 2 weeks past her due date, I will induce her if that happens"
Kamala-"that's good, I hope Kamryn decides to come out soon, what can I do to go into labor, what do you mean induce me?"
Dr. Grey- " there's a few things that may work, You could take a walk, have spicy food, walking, sex may help, babies come when they want, but your dilated to 2.5 centimeters, have you lost your plug yet? have you started bleeding? if you are 2 weeks past your due date then I would admit you in the hospital and give you an iv with medication that will make you go into labor, but your not at that point yet"
Kamala- "not yet, I gotta pee again though, and my lower back hurts, is that good that I'm already starting to dilate"
Dr. Grey- "yes that is a good thing, it means your starting to go into labor, but it can take a while, you have that look like you have to pee, and you are officially on maternity leave"
Kamala- "I do"
Dr. Grey- "we are all done here, I will see you next week in the office, if you don't go into labor sooner"
Dr Grey leaves
Kamala-"Dougie can you please untie my gown so I can get dressed and I gotta pee, and I really don't want to pee here"
Doug helps Kamala sit up and he unties her gown and helps her get dressed.
Kamala- "thanks, I'm going to go pee then make my appointment for next week but hopefully Kamryn will be here.
Doug waits in the waiting room while Kamala goes potty and makes her appointment.
