Only Time Will Tell

Talk with Doug

I would like to thank KamalalovezDoug 4 her help with writing this 💕

~an hour later~

Doug and Kamala are on the couch, Kamryn's in her swing, Kamala is sitting on the couch and Doug's holding her, "Babe, I want to surprise Mommy and Maya at work tomorrow"

Doug- "okay, Kamryn going to visit them"

Kamala- "yes, I have been talking to Lilly, Mommy's secretary, we will go after breakfast, and then we will surprise Maya and have lunch with her and Meena, Jen's helping with the surprise visit for Maya & Meena"

Doug- "your mom's going to be surprised, and so will Maya and Meena, that Kamryn's going to visit them at work"

Kamala- "yes they will be, and I have been thinking about working, after my maternity leave ends"

Doug- "I know, you keep saying you want to but you don't want to, and what ever you decide I will support you"

Kamala- "thanks, I want to work but not full time and not every day at least while Kamryn is under a year, I was thinking about 1 day a week in the office, and then 1 day working at home"

Doug- "I will work all week, if you want me to split the time between the real office and our office here, that way I can see you and Kamryn and all of Kamryn's milestones"

Kamala- "thanks, that would work, and I know Mommy will wanting to babysit and so will your mom and dad, on the days you are in the real office, I will have help if I need it"

Doug- "you will, I know you, you're going to be alright by yourself with Kamryn, I love you so much, both of my girls" Doug gives Kamala a kiss

Kamala- "I love you so much" she gives Doug a kiss, can you get me a hot fudge sundae over a brownie, I know I made some yesterday,  hopefully I can have it before Kamryn wants her after dinner before bedtime snack"

Doug- "of course I will make you a sundae, what kind of ice cream you want, chocolate or vanilla, I know how much you love chocolate"

Doug gets up from the couch and goes into the kitchen

Kamala- "I do love chocolate but since I'm having a brownie with ice cream on top I will have vanilla ice cream, but it will have to wait, our princess is up"

Kamryn's crying

Kamala gets up from the couch "Kamryn I hear you, Momala's coming, I know your hungry"

Kamala picks Kamryn up from her bassinet, and they go and sit in Kamala's recliner, "Princess, let Mommy get ready for you, then you can have all of the milk you want"

Kamala gets her pillow which is on the couch, and she unsnaps her tank top and she lays Kamryn on the pillow and Kamryn latches on and starts nursing.

Doug- "do you want your sundae and brownie now or when Kamryn's done, she's really hungry look at her go"

Kamala- "when Kamryn's done, but I changed my mind, I don't want ice cream, just the almond milk with the brownie and yes she is"

Doug- "okay I didn't make your sundae yet, I started to but then Kamryn started crying, I'm going to put the ice cream away and get you your brownie and almond milk, I'm also going to get a brownie myself"

Kamala- "thanks Babe"

Doug brings over a tray with two brownies and 2 cups of milk.

Kamala- "thank you, after Kamryn has her milk, can we cuddle on the couch, all 3 of us, and watch the Giants game"

Doug- "of course we can, although I think 2 people will more then likely fall asleep as soon as the game starts but that's okay"

15 minutes later...

Kamala looks and Kamryn has unlatched. "Babe, let me have Kamryn, I will burp her"

Kamala- "thanks" Kamala snaps her tank top and she gives Kamryn to Doug.

Doug puts the burp cloth on his shoulder and he lays Kamryn on his shoulder and rubs her back and a few minutes later she burps and she spits up a little bit on the burp cloth. "Kamryn, that was a good burp"

Kamala- "Honey, you need to change your shirt, look Kamryn spit up on it, let me have her I will change her then after you come back we can watch the Giants game"

Doug- "thank you, Kamryn I think your still hungry, your trying to nurse on daddy's shoulder and there is no milk there"

Kamala- "let me have her she's still hungry and I'm still full on the right side, I'm empty on the left"

Kamryn crying

Doug- "Kamryn, I'm going to give you back to Mommy, you can finish your dinner, while Daddy goes and changes his shirt"

Doug gives Kamryn to Kamala "Honey I will be right back, I'm going to change my shirt and put this one in the wash, along with the rest of the clothes in the basket in our room, do you want Kamryn's clothes to get washed at the same time"

Kamala- "yes please, take this burp cloth as well and bring me back a clean one"

Doug- "okay, I will be back in a few minutes"

Kamala- "Princess, I know your still hungry, let Mommy unsnap her tank top then you can have all of the milk you want"

Kamala puts her pillow on her tummy and she unsnaps her tank top and lays Kamryn on her pillow and Kamryn latches on and starts nursing.
