Kamryn's 1 month checkup part 3

I would like to thank KamalalovezDoug 4 her help with writing this

Kamala and Doug are done with their breakfast, "is Kamryn's diaper bag packed"

Doug- "yes it is, it's warm out for us, do you want Kamryn to wear her coat, me and you don't need one it's 75 degrees already"

Kamala- "it's 8:40, we have to go her appointment is at 9:15, and we can bring it, but it's really sunny out, I don't want her to get too hot, please put her sunglasses on though" 

Doug- "Okay, I put her Minnie Mouse jacket in her diaper bag, along with your cover, and I have your pillow as well"

Kamala- "thanks, I have a feeling she will want to eat while we are at her checkup we are ready then, who car are we taking, I have my phone, and my wallet in the diaper bag. 

Doug- "we can take mine, do you want to drive, or you want me too"

Kamala- "you can"

Doug- "okay"

Doug and Kamala then leave for the doctor's for Kamryn's checkup"

~At Kamryn's doctor's office~

~In the exam room~

Kamala puts Kamryn's carrier on the exam table, along with the diaper bag.

Kamryn decided she doesn't want to be in her carrier, and she starts crying.

Doug- "Honey, I think Kamryn wants to be held or she's hungry, it sounds like she's saying Mommy I want milk"

Kamala- "I think your right, I just felt my milk come down, and I'm leaking"

Doug- "here's your pillow, do you want your cover"

Kamala unbuckles Kamryn from her car seat and picks her up, no I don't need it"

Kamala- "Kamryn, it's okay, I know your hungry, I see what your looking at, it's okay, Mommy's going to feed you"

Kamala sits in the chair next to the exam table next to Doug, and Doug gives her pillow, "Kamryn, let Mama unsnap her tank top so you can get your milk, I know your showing us how good your lungs are"

Kamala puts Kamryn on her lap on her pillow and she unsnaps her tank top and Kamryn latches on and starts nursing. "Honey look at Kamryn go, she's hungry"

Kamala- "much better, I was full and I was hurting, I knew she was going to want to eat soon, she wanted to nurse while we were in the waiting room, I saw her looking at me like Mommy I want milk, but I wasn't going to nurse her there, so I put in her pacifier in, because I knew they were going to call us soon"

Doug- "you were right"

A few minutes later, they hear a knock on the door.

Doug- "come in, Honey do you want your cover it's in the diaper bag"

Kamala- "no it's okay"

Dr. Robbins- "Hi Kamala, Doug, I see Kamryn is having her snack"

Kamala- "yes she is, she started right before you walked in, while we were in the waiting room to be called in, she was starting to cry, and I wasn't going to nurse her in the waiting room, I asked Doug to put in her pacifier and it calmed for her a few minutes, I was hurting, and she smelled my milk and she turned her head and looked at me

Dr. Robbins- "yes she smelled your milk came down, and she was hungry, how is she doing"

Kamala- "she's doing good, she did outgrow preemie diapers a week ago, when she had another diaper rash, but I noticed and so did Doug that Kamryn's diapers were tight on her, and when Doug changed her he put on a newborn diaper and it wasn't tight on her, and the rash seemed to clear up much faster, we did use her prescription cream, could it be why she was getting so many diaper rashes is that her diapers were too small"

Dr. Robbins- "it could be the reason, but also babies get diaper rashes it's very common in babies, and your right babies do have sensitive skin, what kind of wipes and laundry soap are you using?"

Kamala- "Pampers swaddles sensitive wipes, and we are using All stain lifters Baby laundry soap"

Doug- "I know you said it's common, but it seems with Lexie that it keeps happening, could that be why she's been so fussy the last few days, or is she's having a growth spurt, do we need to change to a different baby soap when we do laundry"

Dr. Robbins- "could be both, when Kamryn's done with her milk, we will weigh her, and no if your using a baby laundry soap, Kamryn's skin might be extra sensitive, which is normal"

Kamala looks and Kamryn has unlatched, Kamala snaps up her tank top, and she puts a burp cloth on her shoulder and she rubs Kamryn's back and a few minutes later she burps and she spits up a little bit, and Kamala wipes her mouth with the burp cloth. "That was a good burp Kamryn"

Doug- "here's a diaper and the wipes"

Kamala- "thanks, you can change her"

Dr. Robbins- "Kamryn looks adorable in her outfit"

Kamala- "thank you, Kamryn, I know you need your diaper changed, my hand is warm"

Kamala gives Kamryn to Doug to change her diaper.

Doug- "okay, let me change her diaper, it's time for her to be changed anyways, Princess, it' okay I know you don't like this but we have to change your diaper and get you weighed"
