Kamala- "Kamryn, Mommy's coming, I know what you want and it's not your mittens"
Kamala picks Kamryn up and she goes to sit in the recliner and she has her pillow and she unsnaps her tank top, Kamryn latches on and starts nursing"
Doug comes into the family room a few minutes later with the baby gate, "Honey wow she's really going at it"
Kamala- "yes she's having her lunch, I think she hears me say I'm full and she knows what means because when I say I'm full she either starts crying or she is sucking on her hands or her mittens, after she's done with her lunch, please burp and change her so I can get ready for lunch with Meena and Maya, I know you smell popcorn, she just pooped, my hand is warm, we don't have to rub her tummy anymore after she gets burped, unless you see she's really having a hard time going potty, then rub her tummy like we have been doing when you change her, put her rash cream on, when I changed her last I noticed she was her butt was red"
Doug- "you could be right, and of course I will, why is her butt red?"
Kamala- "I think she's getting or has a diaper rash, which is common in newborns"
Meena and Maya and Leela come in a few minutes later
Maya- " wow sis she's really going at it"
Meena- "Auntie, she's really going at it,"
Kamala- "yes, she is and I didn't have to guide her this time, she was trying to nurse on my tank top though, before I could unsnap, Meena has Leela done that"
Meena- "yes she does all the time, I have to tell her wait till mommy unsnaps her shirt then I will feed you"
15 minutes later
Kamala- "Dougie, Kamryn's done eating, she needs to be burped and I'm going to go and get ready to go out for lunch with Meena and Maya"
Doug takes Kamryn from Kamala and puts the burp cloth on his shoulder and burps Kamryn and a few minutes later, she burps, and then he changes Kamryn's diaper.
Doug- "Princess, I know you don't like getting your diaper changed, so we are going to see if we can get you changed before you get to cold." Doug lays Kamryn down on her changing pad that is in the family room, on the coffee table, and takes off her pants, and unsnaps her onesie. "let's get a clean diaper on you, you will feel better, Doug cleans Kamryn up with the wipes and puts her new diaper and he puts her rash cream on like Kamala asked him too, and then he gets her dressed again.
Kamala comes into the family room, a few minutes later, "Honey, how did you change Kamryn's diaper and she didn't cry"
Doug- "I did it as fast as I could before she could get cold, I had everything ready so that as soon as I got her onesie unsnapped, and her dirty diaper open i just wiped her and put her cream on that you asked and closed her diaper, and put her pants back on before she realized they were off. and her outfit is adorable, it's one of the ones we bought her, and she is my little princess"
Kamala- "I will have to try that, are you sure you can watch both babies, and yes it is, do you want me to call your mom so you have help"
Doug- "yes I'm sure, Kamryn don't really do much yet, I know Leela is more active, no I can do it, If I need help I will call my mom, but I know I can do it"
Kamala- "she is, Meena said she's almost crawling, so that's why you gotta watch her more then Kamryn, we will only be gone hopefully an hour because Kamryn been wanting to eat every hour in a half - 2 hours"
Doug- "you will be alright, just like when we went out for lunch, If I need to I will call you, I know how to take care of 2 babies, I have helped you with Amara and Leela"
Kamala- "promise"
Doug- "yes Babe, I promise, but I know I can babysit two babies, If I need help I will call my mom"
Meena and Maya come into the family room and Meena has Leela with her.
Meena- "Doug, Leela's milk is in the diaper bag in her bottle with her diapers, and she's crawling now, her morning nap is usually about an hour and half, and she usually takes it from 9:30 - 11:00, she will start yawning, pulling on her ears, start crying"
Meena puts Leela on the floor and she starts playing with the toys that are on the floor.
Doug- "okay, have fun at lunch"
Kamala- "thanks, Meena, are you ready for lunch"
Kamala- "Princess you be good for daddy, Mommy won't be long and she gives Kamryn a kiss on her forehead, and she gives Doug a kiss.
Meena- "Leela, you be a good girl for Uncle Doug, Leela is playing with her blocks at the moment, you will notice when she starts to get sleepy, Meena gives Leela a kiss on her forehead"
Doug- "okay, we will be alright, have a good lunch"
Leela- "Mama"
Doug takes Leela's hand and waves bye
~At Kamala and Doug's~ 11:45 am
Doug noticed Leela was getting sleepy, he picks her up and puts her in Kamryn's crib for her nap, he closes Kamryn's door he turns the monitor on and brings, it with him into the family room, as soon he gets into the family room, he sees Kamryn is up, she's in her swing, and he smells popcorn, and she's crying.
Doug- "Princess, I know what you want, but Mommy's not home yet from her lunch with Auntie Maya and cousin Meena, let's get your diaper changed, I smell popcorn, we are going to call Mommy and see how far away she is"
