𝑺𝒐𝒐𝒃𝒊𝒏 walked through the castle, searching for jungkook between the white and tall corridors. the angel told the male he would stay a couple of days with kai, and now that he was back to heaven, he needed to ask his older brother for something. it seemed to be a hard task though.

"excuse me, sorry to bother you, but do you know where jungkook is?" the flower fairy blushed in surprise, not expecting for the royal to talk with her so suddenly. she adjusted the papers on her hands slightly, before giving full attention to the male.

"no need to say sorry, your highness. prince jungkook just arrived, he's with mister taehyung in the garden."

"oh, okay. thank you." soobin smiled, watching the woman nod before going back to doing whatever it was. the angel sighed, not wanting to bother the older heir when he was with his fiance, and deciding to just go back to his room.

the black haired had picked the red tulip kai offered from the garden only before leaving, not wanting to risk letting the flower die too quickly. it was one of his most precious possessions now, after all. though, it wouldn't last long without a vase to be put on and even then, it would die soon or later, so soobin intended to ask his brother about someone, a crystalian, who could enchant the delicate flower.

it seemed useless and silly, but somehow meant the world to him. anything that reminded him of yeonjun did.

"soobin?" the said male closed his eyes with the voice, it wasn't like he hated queen ann, but talking with her felt uncomfortable after discovering she was his mother.

"yeah?" he hesitantly turned to the woman, a small smile on his lips as he felt minimally more at ease after seeing ann's gentle and kind expression. he knew she was trying, really hard, but it felt almost impossible to connect himself with a family he didn't know he had for all his life.

"unintentionally, of course, i heard you ask lilia about jungkook. i don't know what you could possibly need to talk with him, but allow me to ask if it's something perhaps i can do?" soobin wanted to punch himself when staring at the queen's hopeful expression. he could be a lot of ugly and bad things, but there was no possibility of him ignoring the look on the woman's face and how hard she was trying, so he nodded.

"you can, thank you, your majesty." ann smiled sadly, as if every time she would hope to get addressed by the same way she was with the other heirs. the woman couldn't blame soobin though, way less get upset with him, so she just hoped someday the relation between them could be good enough for the male to let out something among the word mom.

"no need to thank me, sweetheart." the queen stepped foward, averting her eyes to the flower in the other's hands. "that's a pretty tulip. it's your favorite?"

soobin looked down to the plant, it's slightly dark red and fragile petals welcoming him as if they were yeonjun's pretty eyes that felt like home. it washed him with way too many emotions that he couldn't control, nor pinpoint which were, and the male had to blink a couple of times to prevent himself from crying.

"yes. red tulips are my favorite." the prince nodded softly, a gentle and fragile smile appearing on his features. "i wanted to ask for someone who could enchant it."

"i see." the queen nodded, smiling softly, before hesitantly raising her hand to brush some strands of hair off the male's face. soobin let her and watched as the woman's face lighted up almost immediately, eyes shining like crystals full of hope. he needed to try too. "hoseok can do it for you."

"you're right, he's a crystalian." soobin smiled, glad he could ask someone who was so close by and so, he wouldn't need to wait for the person to go to the castle. "thank you so much, your majesty. i will go see him now."
