𝑻𝒉𝒆 black haired dismissed yeonjun as soon as the older opened the door of mira's grave, saying he wanted to be alone. when the entry was closed and the king wasn't in his sight, soobin let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, starting to giggle softly while biting his lips. it seemed like everything started to sink, making him realize a lot of things and be thankful for the attack of possessiveness he just had over the red haired.

soobin felt great, he felt like himself after months. not a doll, not an used object, only soobin.

of course, the attack of possessiveness was the only thing that allowed him to forget his insecurities and toxic mind, and now that it was over, he was back at feeling hurt, but at least he knew where to go from there. he knew who was the soobin he was fighting to be again, and knowing that was already half way through.

the angel took a deep breath, patting his dress gently before going down the stairs that led to the cavern. it was dark and he couldn't really see a lot, since yeonjun wasn't there to light the place with his fire, but the stairs were straight so he just needed to be careful of the steps. soobin somehow felt embraced by familiarity and comfort when reaching the grave, the pretty and glistening walls reflecting on his dark eyes like constellations.

he furrowed his brows when realizing there were five coffins, three of who he knew from who they were, but two that rested empty. soobin stepped closer, running his eyes through ruby's pretty features before stopping his gaze on the glass coffin to her right. he narrowed his eyes, running his fingers on the small engraving in front of the coffin, made on silver and decorated by metal leaves and flowers. it was similar to mira's one, he remembered seeing it the first time he went to the grave, though in this one, the name was different.

choi beomgyu.

soobin couldn't understand, not when jimin had just told him beomgyu was back to limbo, which meant he was completely fine and in no need of a coffin. he raised his head, turning to the side and locking his eyes to the other empty coffin, his body moved faster than his mind and when he realized, he was already standing before the other coffin on the far left of the cave.

choi soobin.

the angel let out a small gasp, he didn't know if yeonjun wanted him to see this, or if the male had just forgot about it, but the fact the king had two coffins waiting for him and beomgyu was sick. it was sick because it didn't take long for soobin to realize why. after losing so many people he loved, having so many things taken from him, he didn't have hope anymore; yeonjun was expecting he and beomgyu would be taken too.

soobin's eyes watered, wandering over the coffin supposed to be his. it was different from the others, it had edges made out of silver and with adornments, small crystals placed delicately on it. the engraving of his name was similar to the other's, silver leaves and flowers decorating it, but what really got soobin wasn't the silver work of the coffin, nor the small crystals and way less his name engraved on it. what made the angel hold his breath and feel like crying was the jewelry placed inside the coffin, where he was supposed to be laid after dying; a crown. his crown.

the black haired remembered when yeonjun said he would make a crown for him, with multiple blood crystals to represent the powerful queen wearing it. the demon indeed had made the crown, and soobin felt a lump on his throat when realizing he probably had done it months before, when they were still dating, when they were supposed to take the throne together, when soobin hadn't rejected yeonjun's 'i love you' yet.

he felt such an idiot, knowing he was supposed to be inside the castle, sitting on the throne and with the crown on his head, but instead was there, staring at the hopeless thought of his death the love of his life had. instead, he was there, alone and hurting just as much as yeonjun. soobin knew it wasn't his fault, he knew he couldn't control his trauma and mind that led him to take so long to realize his feelings, but still, he wished he could go back and tell the red haired how much he loved him too.
