𝒀𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒋𝒖𝒏 wasn't sure, he didn't want to risk anymore, not after everything he already had done after risking over and over again. he knew he was worse, he knew he was barely hanging, barely in control, so he knew this time it was probably a lot more than risking, it was putting his everything in line, including the angel. though, soobin was there, asking for a last time, only one more, only one more where he could be right, be himself for his darling, not the sick and twisted person he had became along the way, but danny. soobin's danny.

"i can't risk hurting you more, soobin. i know there's still parts left to break, i don't want to shatter them, i want to at least leave you with something of yourself, something i didn't ruined." the red haired promised to try, he knew he did, but trying was harder than anything he had ever done, trying meant way more than soobin probably thought it did. "i'm scared, love. i'm scared to hurt you even more. every second with you, it's a second from me ending up hurting you. loving you one last time asks for more seconds than i can risk."

"danny, please. just for today, just one last time. i need this, i need to have my danny one last time before i lose you. please do this for me." soobin held the demon's hand gently, looking into his eyes while speaking. he had spent way too much time without his daniel, way too much time being looked at indifferently and treated as nothing much, but now he had the chance of finally feeling loved by yeonjun again, and if he had to lose the king, he wanted to feel his love one last time before doing so. "please do this for everything we once had."

the words made sure to break the red haired's heart, because he knew it was his fault. yeonjun knew that maybe soobin had some parts at fault, but he was the one to truly blame. still, he wasn't sure if he should give in and do what the angel was asking. he was scared to death, now that he was finally close to being in his right mind, he dreaded to do something again, to hurt his love again. he never intended to hurt soobin, the taller was the most precious thing he ever had, and so, the fact he could do it again anytime was terrifying.

"it's not a good idea, darling." the older shook his head slightly, taking a step back while doing so. yeonjun himself didn't understand the extend of what was happening, so he knew the angel did way less. it wasn't soobin's fault, though, not when he kept everything from him, everything hidden even when he knew he needed help. yeonjun could never ask for something like that to soobin knowing all that would come with it. "it's worse than you think, okay? it's not that easy and i already hurt you enough."

"danny, can't you see it?" the black haired gave a step foward and held yeonjun's face between his hands, caressing the male's cheeks gently while smiling. "everything will be worth it in the end because it's you and for you. i know you feel that too, i know you think the same way about me, so please, give me this before leaving. give me the hope i need." soobin took the crown off the demon's head, holding it around his arm, and softly ran his fingers through the older's hair, watching as he closed his eyes and sighed in contentment. "you promised me, don't you remember? you promised me to always come back, months ago when the crown wasn't yours yet. then come back to me one more time, danny."

"okay." the red haired said in almost a whisper, opening his eyes to stare at soobin. he would do anything for the angel, from living for him, to dying for him, so if the younger wanted to be loved one last time, yeonjun would give it to him. he owned it to him after everything he did, and even if scared, loving soobin would always be his greatest wish, the dream that somehow he managed to have in reality. the king nodded softly, tucking a strand of hair behind the other's ear and getting closer enough for their lips to ghost each other. "let me love you one last time then, my darling."
