𝒀𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒋𝒖𝒏 didn't have idea beomgyu went to heaven, the gargoyle couldn't bring himself to tell him only to be faced with the king's pleas of not doing so. he knew the demon would never want him to bring soobin, not only because of the promise, but because he didn't see himself as deserving of some type of last time. yeonjun believed he should die with his last memory of the angel being his hurt eyes full of hate and shock.
so beomgyu wasn't sure how the red haired would react, it wouldn't be bad, he knew the male wouldn't yell at him or something of the sort, but it still scared him the possibly of yeonjun not being able to take it. after the scene of a delirious demon laid limply on the bathroom floor, beomgyu wasn't sure if he could take anything more at all. every move, every word, every breath seemed exhausting, yeonjun was a strong person, both mentally and physically, but now he just looked fragile, as if he wouldn't be able to stand at any second.
the gargoyle swallowed dry, leading a nervous and yet cold soobin through the hallways of hell's castle. he wondered what would happen, wondered if the angel would hate him for bringing him there, wondered how much longer yeonjun could take, wondered if every second was his last one with his older brother alive. if he was being honest, beomgyu didn't even know how he was handling things, maybe it was out of shock, because there was no way he would sleep at night after seeing yeonjun in pain, bleeding, delirious and weak multiple times. there was no way he would've been able to get up from bed knowing the king was dying, if not out of shock.
"beomgyu!" taehyun's voice resonated through the corridor along with his footsteps. the reaper carried a frown, angry and worried eyes while stopping before the taller. "why didn't you tell me you were leaving somewhere? i got so worried something happened and now i find out you went after soobin? do you never listen to me?" the blonde spoke while wavering his hands around, words sharp and in tone of scold even if filled with care. "next time warn me, gyu." his voice softened as he moved to hold the male's face between his hands gently. "i would've gone with you. i know it was hard."
taehyun caressed the long haired's cheek softly before placing a kiss on his forehead, bringing him close and wrapping his arms around beomgyu, who hid his face on the crook of his neck. the reaper sighed softly, feeling the older's arms around his waist pulling him closer, and looked at soobin with sympathetic eyes.
"hey, soobin. how are you handling things?" the angel just shrugged, trying to keep his cool as the fact yeonjun was dying hadn't actually fell on him. it was hard to believe someone like the demon would be dying, he was always so strong, so imposing and powerful, it was weird to think he was anything beyond those. the lump on his throat was still there though, just like the nausea the idea for itself gave him. he wouldn't be surprised if he threw up. "gyu, we have to go."
the blonde whispered softly and soobin could see beomgyu take a deep breath before pulling away from the hug, a small smile taking place on his lips as he stared into taehyun's eyes. the angel almost cried then, because beomgyu looked at the reaper in a way too similar manner yeonjun did to him, as if they were the most beautiful thing ever and no one could compare. it was still different, however, because of course, beomgyu wasn't yeonjun and taehyun wasn't soobin. there was no crystalline scarlet eyes against chocolate ones, no tulip calling for it's anemone.
soobin averted his eyes from the couple, trying to think about something else that wasn't him and yeonjun, but it was proved difficult when every single brick of that castle carried the king's name. if the angel was being honest, he didn't quite believe yeonjun was dying, maybe it was just a self preserving thought, maybe he was just too numb over any pain, maybe it was just a nightmare and he would wake up soon. still, he didn't think he would fully believe anything without seeing yeonjun in front of him, and that made he wonder if he was being reasonable or simply stupid.
