𝒀𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒋𝒖𝒏 never imagined something similar to the scene. all the scenarios he came up with in his head when trying to discover what could've happened didn't even come closer to the current one. turns out, his moves weren't as precise as he thought it to be, because his father was in front of him, having the courage to go against his orders and more, stand before him after.

ruby was already dead when he came in, probably for minutes now. taemin got his throat sliced, but it was too fatal and deep for him to live long enough for yeonjun to heal him. he couldn't bring someone back to life, and healing the wound didn't make sense if it was from a dead body.

the red haired blinked, face not even morphing into any emotion, just cold and expressionless as he stared at taemin and ruby's body on the floor, pools of blood around them. somehow he felt as awake as ever, mind clear as water, he wasn't sad, angry or even numb. yeonjun didn't feel anything at all.

"that's a shame." was all he let out, averting his eyes to the old man in front of him. hyukjun involuntarily gave a step back, staring at the king's dark eyes, that seemed to be void of any light, shine or warmth. he needed to be careful since he wasn't as strong as before, even less without his royal power. "i will have to kill you for that."

"you can't, you need me." the older smirked, a satisfied smile on his face that matched his sadistic eyes. yeonjun could see he felt like he just made the plan of his life, that he could fuck yeonjun up and still get away with it. what a delusional thought.

"i don't. i had a plan and you were part of it. what i need father, it's simply another plan." the red haired waved his hand, chains sneaking under his father and wrapping themselves on his ankles and neck, trapping him on the wall. "you had one job, do as i say and i wouldn't end your soul. i see i had a little too much expectation on you, i never thought you would be this stupid, if i'm being honest."

yeonjun stepped over taemin's body, getting closer to his father and grabbing his face between his fingers. a smirk crept over his lips, one so creepy he had probably never let out before. hyukjun being alive gave him a huge advantage, a small and secretive piece of the plan he knew it was flawless, a plan that had too many pieces and all were perfectly placed, except this one. he knew it was a risky move to let the man alive, but it was the best way of getting what he wanted, and risk was something that needed to be taken.

"kill me then, at least i took great part of the crumbs you have left." the older spoke through his teeth. he hated yeonjun, since the start, and after the male took everything he had, the hate only grew. hyukjun knew he would die if he went against the red haired and even if he still thought he was an irreplaceable person in the male's plan, he knew better. yeonjun was worse than him and he would already have dozens of backup plans, which meant the younger probably had even more. if he had to die though, then he would bring people with him, and nothing better than a set of way too important ones. "that annoying girl and your crystalian pet, looks like you're not as smart as you thought."

"you're right, letting you live wasn't the best decision. i can admit that. it's such a shame though, you were just perfect for this, but you seem to forget i own your soul, so you threw away your only chance of not only surviving, but not getting tortured too. i don't need to remember what hell's job is, right? punishing souls for eternity and all of the things you're already aware of." the king chuckled, tilting his head while staring at the other's eyes. "but i strongly think that's too little for you. i even gave you a body, so might as well make use of it before killing you right?"
