𝒀𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒋𝒖𝒏 cleaned the prince as best as he could, taking any trace of sweat, cum and blood off his skin before helping him with his clothes. only then, he asked for one of the palace workers to call the queen, sitting back on the same chair he was when soobin wasn't even aware he was in heaven.
"you can rest. it's going to be fast, love." the demon spoke softly, holding soobin closer when he sat on his lap and hugged him, closing his eyes tiredly. "i will tell what the talk was later."
"promise?" the black haired murmured, nuzzling on the older's neck while brushing his fingers on his dark wings, finding somehow comfort in how sharp and firm the feathers were. he would never understand, or get over, how good it felt to be in the demon's arms.
"i promise." yeonjun caressed the taller's waist, planting a kiss on his hair softly and hearing the male hum as an answer before letting himself drift to sleep.
soobin didn't need to participate in the conversation, in fact, the red haired knew it was better if he didn't. that way, it would be a talk from a ruler to another, no one else in the middle to interrupt them or make everything more complicated. yeonjun closed his eyes for a moment, breathing the angel's smell in and almost letting himself forget they couldn't be together. it was only a second, though, the next one the demon was already with eyes opened and with his heartbeat controlled.
he needed to remind himself it wouldn't be like before, that in the end of everything, soobin still didn't love him. that loving soobin, wasn't enough to get loved back.
the queen opened the door with a sigh, already imagining what the two did when she wasn't present, and getting a confirmation of her thoughts when seeing her son asleep on the king's lap. rhea sat on her usual chair, running her eyes through the room before stopping them on the red haired across from her.
"let's go to the point. what do you want?" yeonjun tilted his head, caressing the angel's thigh softly and hearing him hum on his sleep. soobin had his arms wrapped around the older's shoulders, hugging him like a koala while getting lulled by the demon's breathing and smell.
"i want to take soobin to hell with me."
"absolutely not." the black woman crossed her arms, leaning on the chair and making it clear she didn't intent to answer differently. "he's my son, so this is his home."
"indeed, but he's mine." the king gently turned soobin on his lap, making him sit sideways, and raised his shirt only enough so the red mark would be visible. "you know i can't do one of these if he doesn't consent. soobin is hell's property now."
the white haired closed her eyes for a second, sighing heavily while watching yeonjun put her son back into his previous position. giving someone the kingdom's mark was almost compared to having their soul, it could only be done with fully consent and taken by the one to make it. the queen knew that because heaven had a mark too, even if she never intended into using on anyone. anyone who wasn't ann, that is, the other queen wasn't born royal, and having heaven's symbol on her skin was a sign of devotion to a kingdom she wasn't born to rule. though, hell and heaven's marks had different side effects and worked in different ways, so she wasn't aware of how exactly the red drawing affected her son.
"he's not a property." the woman rubbed her forehead tiredly, not really knowing how to deal with the situation. it was clear, though, yeonjun and soobin had a way more deep, and complicated, relationship than she would like. "i can't lose a child for the second time, therefore, i won't let you take him. though, i understand the symbol's implications and so, i can allow soobin to freely go to hell anytime he wants. however he will keep on living here."
"i see." the red haired nodded, raising his hand and running his fingers on the prince's soft feathers. it was, again, a silent way of telling the woman he was the one to have the upper hand, the one with power over soobin, the one who was being benevolent when agreeing with whatever her terms were. "you do know, rhea, that he would choose me if he was awake, right?"
the queen bit her tongue, controlling herself to not show how bitter the sentence was. of course she knew, anyone who exchanged a few words with the black haired knew he would always choose yeonjun, or hell, over heaven. it was hard to swallow, even harder to accept, but even if she didn't, it wouldn't change anything.
"yes." rhea hated yeonjun. the demon hadn't done anything harmful to her or her kingdom, he wasn't violent and bloodthirsty like his father was, but the woman still hated him way more than hyukjun. yeonjun was smart, he knew everything he was doing and he didn't need to touch her to make it clear how her, and her kingdom, were on his hands. it was like his presence only was enough to tell her even if she tried, thought or fought, she would always do everything and say everything he wanted and planned.
"you must be glad he isn't awake, then." yeonjun sly grin managed to almost take the white haired out of her calm and controlled self, he was silently implying she should thank him for agreeing, like she owned him. the demon let out a breath through his nose, tucking a strand of hair behind the prince's ear before averting his eyes back to the other ruler. "i hope you know i'm being understanding right now."
"i do." rhea managed to say through her teeth, keeping herself composed. the truth was, yeonjun was being more than understanding, simply because he had the right to take soobin with him if he wanted. it was an ugly title, but the mark indeed made soobin hell's property, and it was above the fact he was from heaven's royal family.
"good. i would hate to know you think of me as badly as you did of my father." the demon's lips morphed into a side smile, he knew she hated him. even if rhea didn't show on her calm expression and cold eyes, he still knew.
"your father was an awful person, and king." was. it was amusing how a single word could make the sentence sound almost funny, and even more when yeonjun was the only to know the word had such effect.
"he was." the red haired nodded, his mind flooding with thoughts of how pathetic the queen in front of him looked, how clueless. all because his father was more than alive and living under his own roof. it was undeniable that hyukjun was a horrible person, though, even if yeonjun planned on making him be even worse.
it was all a masterpiece designed by the king, every move done methodically to serve a purpose eventually, every word spoken to benefit him later. the moment the crown was placed on top of his head though, was when the pieces finally started to get into place, to serve it's meanings, and yeonjun couldn't wait for the final result.
