𝑬𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 a blood pact wasn't easy. blood pacts were created to be used without a thought of taking it back, it was an extreme measure, something people used as a last option, or only one. yeonjun wasn't afraid of taking risks though, in fact, he thought it to be necessary most part of the time. or you give all you have to achieve what you desire, or you will need to content yourself with only half of it. maybe that's why the most part of the time he got himself too involved with something, turning it into an obsession instead of a goal.
it was the same thing with dissolving the pact, it was a risk, something that could most definitely go wrong, but that he couldn't care of the 'what if's and 'maybe's. taemin wasn't as imprudent though, he was mindful and would think about which risks are worthy taking and which aren't, seeing the future got him an immense advantage after all, so if in normal conditions, he wouldn't end the pact, even if wanting to. of course, it wasn't anything near a normal condition, he needed to do it.
"yeah, here will be good enough." the crystalian said while nodding his head, they were in an old office that was almost empty and lost between the endlessly rooms of the castle, perfect for what they were about to do.
taemin immediately grabbed a crystal pot, one he used for his enchantments and potions, and placed it on the table. then he picked a knife that was resting on the surface, sliding it's blade through his palm and letting blood fall on the pot. the king was beside him, staring intensely at the crimson liquid, he could almost taste it.
"stop it. you can't drink it." the grey haired glared at the other from the side, watching as yeonjun licked his lips involuntarily. he could control himself, of course, but that didn't mean he didn't crave for tasting the warm blood. "give me your palm, dan."
the king did as said, seeing taemin cut his hand just like he did to himself and letting his blood drip on the same pot. when it was filled enough he pulled away, turning around and kneeling on the floor. the older started to draw a circle, then another one and a square inside, adding some symbols and letters that belonged to the enchantment after. before doing anything else, he took his clothes off, staying in only underwear and seeing the red haired doing the same.
"okay, come." taemin said while kneeling back on the floor. yeonjun kneeled in front of him, both inside the drawing, and took the male's cut hand on his own, connecting both wounds together. "are you sure about this?"
"yes, taem. don't worry." taemin nodded hesitantly, connecting his forehead with the demon's and starting to murmur a complicated sounding set of words. the two started to feel an intense headache, an acute pain as if a long needle was being pushed inside their heads.
the two were considered powerful beings, but yeonjun was far more than the crystalian, so he could endure the whole process way better. that's why taemin screamed, holding the king's nape with his free hand, so their foreheads kept touching, while feeling like his blood was boiling, thousands of needles getting inserted in him from inside out. it was a painful process, because doing a blood pact meant connecting their blood through a promise, or condition, and to end that, they needed to bleed the other out. it was something similar to bleeding to almost death so your blood could be replaced after, with no hint of the other person anymore.
the pretty crystalian's skin was painted in crimson, blood dripping from his chin and limbs and spreading on the floor, only to get absorbed by the symbol drawn there. it was the same for yeonjun, though it was way less painful for him, he was a royal, his blood was naturally painful to carry, almost as a curse that forcer royals to envolve themselves decade after decade so they could bear it more easily. power always came with consequences, even if they managed to lower the side effects little by little.
