Harry stopped dead in his tracks.  A large book was inches away from his face, held by the one and only Hermione Granger.

Time travel: A miracle or a recipe for disaster?

"um," Harry said, rubbing his neck "Hello to you too."

"Where is it?" Hermione asked, grabbing at his jacket.

Harry jumped away from her and frowned annoyed.

"Where is WHAT?" he rolled his eyes.

"The curse, the spell, the I don't know- SOMETHING!" Hermione yelled, pulling bottles out of his pockets.

"What curse? Hey, give me that!" Harry yelled, snatching the plastic yellow bottle from her hand.

"I know you are up to something, Harry Potter and I will find out what!"

"STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU FREAK!" Harry yelled, running away down the hall.

Ron stepped out from behind a corner nearby. He smirked. Hermione looked at him and swallowed hard, guilt punching in her stomach like an ax. Ron reached out a hand.

"Did you get it?" He asked softly.

Hermione threw the bottle into Ron's palm, turning her head to look away from him. Tears brimmed against her lashes and she inhaled sharply through her nose.

"Look, Herm, it's... it's for the best," Ron said, his fingers curling against the plastic.

Hermione turned and walked quickly out of the hall.
