(Lunar's POV)

I raced ahead of the Sun and Moon animatronics, sprinting towards my room. Once I'd arrived, I made sure to lock the door behind me as I pulled out my Faz-Watch-Phone-Thing. Ugh, I still don't know what to call this thing...

I flop onto my bed and pull up the texting app. A new message from Eclipse popped up:

⨀◈◍◈⨀

You better be making progress with those attendants.

⨀◈◍◈⨀

I seethed and typed an angry response.

⨀◈◍◈⨀

Of course I am. A thank you would be nice >

< Here: 'Thank you'. Happy? Now get back on track; have you found any weaknesses we could exploit?

Just like you to not even bother asking how I'm doing. >

All you care about is your stupid 'plan'. You don't even have one, do you? >

< Watch your tongue.

Or what? You'll give me that same virus that you put in Sun so you could exist even after you were decommissioned? >

⨀◈◍◈⨀

No response.

⨀◈◍◈⨀

Exactly. >

Here's the thing about you, Eclipse. >

You're full of empty threats and promises you can't keep. You keep saying you have this 'grand scheme' for the both of us, but do you even have one? Ever since Sun and Moon replaced us, you've had this grudge against everyone and everything.  >

Why can't you just let go? >

< I should've left you in the Silo.

⨀◈◍◈⨀

The words gave a harsh pang in my mechanical heart, and my eyes stung with tears.

I couldn't even look back at the screen, so I powered the stupid device off and tossed it aside. I pulled my pillow close to my chest and sobbed quietly.

Why did Eclipse have to be so good at hitting where it hurt the most?

※※※

I'm so sorry this was so incredibly short-

I tried to make it longer, but it ruined the impact of the angst in Lunar and Eclipse's conversation-

As Walt Disney said, "You can only stretch a story so much. After that, it won't hold."

-See you soon,

Still Jackie :)
